The statement asserts that the way we perceive the world is altered after the study of an academic discipline though the world is the same as before. While it is a perplexing and complex issue, I generally agree with it. The study of a certain discipline provides us with technology, theory and methodology, at least one of them.

Technology, the tool for us to perceive the world, is provided by some disciplines, thus we can perceive the world more deeply and insightfully.  In the ancient times, though people found the relationship between the radius and the perimeter of a certain circle, they cannot calculate the exact multiples of the two. Years later, in the fast-moving world around us computers did it just in a second, thus we can perceive the world more accurately. Another example to illustrate this point comes from the realm of biology, in the medieval times，when people’s beloved animals fell ill they do not know how to cure them or even alleviate their suffering. With the development of microscope, people can find the root of an illness quickly and can present certain method to cure them.

What's more, a discipline also can equip us with methodology which is involved in study of every discipline. Though different disciplines have formed various methodologies, the methodology is especially useful when we get started during that time we may be just in confuse and do not know what the priorities we should set.As in the aspect of computer science, C programming language, a module language using some methodologies such as top-down, progressive refinement, helps us in our daily lives to deal with complex tasks.

Another gain after the study a discipline is the theory, or the rules of the nature around as. With well-developed theory, we can choose the time and place to perceive the world. The theory can conduct us when we meet some difficulties and confuse, no matter how formidable it is. To use an example, when the lightening brings us a fire our predecessors got scared and run away, later on they studying the physics and other subject, knowing it just a nature phenomena not some divine punishment as they once thought. When a layperson saw the x-ray they can not distinguish any valuable discovery from it, but to an expert from radiology they are turn to be amusement, that the theory helps the expert to understand the graph and when he or she meet difficulties it will point a way to him or her.

Finally, if we organize completely all of the three above, I should announce after studying some disciplines, we see the same world as before, but not only with different eyes but also with different minds.

In sum, every person is a soldier, study provide arms for us. Considering winning a battle, it cannot accomplish by only a few people but by a well-organized army in which soldiers are armed with different equipments. Thus, to stimulate a society's progress is not a task of a certain discipline but all fields of academic. Only through this way, we can perceive the world in a tapestry view with eyes from different angles.
