In the above statement, author asserts that tourism will soon become obsolete as people can become familiar with many places which they never visited with the television and worldwide computer connection development. However, although we admit that we can get lots of information from media and Internet, but tourism can never be replaced.

First, it is true that television and worldwide computer connections can offer us variety information. We can get the information such as what happen over the world, which NBA basketball team wins the championship or even the weather of a small place and so on. People also can know the situation of one place without going there. It is quite common that when people decide to go to one place for tourism, they will look for some information about that place from internet or television before they leave. Through this, they may know what the weather is like when they get there, which food there is deserved to try, and which hotel is not only cheap but also offers best service. With the development of television and computer connection, people really can get more information without experiencing by themselves.

However, there are big differences between the information from TV or internet and the experience what you get from tourism. You can know much from TV and Internet but others you need to comprehend by yourself. Take food for example, when TV says that the chocolate in Belgium is quite delicious, you may know that Belgium’s chocolate has a good taste and looks beautiful. What else did you know? Nothing! You don’t know what you feel when chocolate is in your mouse, you don’t know whether you like it. You can not understand the real taste of it unless you go to Belgium and taste it by yourself. All what we can get from TV and Internet are just boring characters and pictures. But tourism can give you much more than that.

Finally, we must understand that why people go so far away for tourism? Some may say because of delicious food and engaging view. The answer is not accurate. In fact, people love to tour as people can get lots of fun and relax themselves from stress through eating delicious food, watching beautiful view and so on. Imagine that when you go to Toyota center to watch basketball mach, you can yell loudly with thousands of people whatever you like to support the team. When you stand at the top of Alps Mountain and glance at the white snow, you will forget all the annoying things. When you put hands on the stone of great wall, you will soon understand how great this project is and surely being proud of to be Chinese. All of this can’t be comprehend by TV and computers as they can offer you everything expect the feeling of yourself.

In sum, although what the author said that TV and Internet can provide a large amount of information and make us be familiar with the places where we never visit before. But tourism can not be replaced by this as self feeling can only be from self experience, not substituted by characters and pictures simply.
