the greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them ,not by their contemporaries .

greatness 有很多种 ，有政治家的GREATNESS ，有发名家的 ，有艺术家的 。要从不同的方面来讨论 。
1但是对于政治家 ，和艺术家 ，和一些UNCOMFORMISTS来说 ，他们的贡献应该是从长远来看的 ，是不是在较长的时间里给人民造福 。因为有时候他门的贡献受到当时政权或者水平的局限 ，要给他们的GREATNESS应该留给后人来评价 。
例子 中国的孔子 ，他推行的仁政其实并不受当时统治阶级的喜欢 ，甚至受到排挤 ，但是，他的思想却受到后来汉朝的推崇 ，成为中国的统治文化 。
艺术家往往是不被理解的
还有象哥白尼，布努若等伟大的先驱 ，当时都是触犯统治阶级， 不被赞许的 ，哥还被处以火型 ，死后 ，他的著作才发行 ，受到后世的赞扬 。

2对于发明家来说 ，它给我们带来的便利其实就在当代就可以认识到 ，原因是它本来就是一个客观的东西 ，例子就是 ：电话 ，电视 ，电脑 ，汽车 ，等等工具出现的那个时代就给立刻显示了它的伟大与效率 ，尽管由于当时的条件没有普及 ，但是，给人类带来的质的变化与进步不不容质疑的

Greatness , a measure about contribution made by  certain individuals or certain groups to some societies ,  has brought us into some dilemma , how can greatness be judged , whether the authority of judging them lies in the hands of the contemporaries or in the hands of the latter generations ?
Some people hold the view that contemporary society should be responsible for judging them ,while others disapprove , contend that the judgment of such greatness better left to latter generation for the reason that history never lies and clarify the ambiguous situation in the former society . yet ,as far as fairness and objective are concerned , people should take the subject separately  .

In the area of politics , art as well as some other  unconventional deeds , the greatness of a individual should be judged by the latter people , concerning about the a long-term and other influencing elements such as restraint of the authority and limitation of the people at that time . take one of the most famous thinker ----Confucius for example , his political theory that the king should treat his citizens  with clemency   , lower the frightening tax Burdon ,have more direct conversation with them ,  in order to last his authority can hardly be welcomed by the king of his country in chunqiu period ,because  his theory was contradicted with the governor’s interests , it was looked down upon by the sovereign as well as other nobles at that time , he was even laughed by young children when travel around countries publicize his works and theory . notwithstanding ,not until the HAN sovereign , a 1ooo years followed  kingdom ,had his thought be accepted by hanwuding ,the king and chief executive of the han nation , gaining its unshakeable position of the first Chinese traditional thinking essence for nearly 3000 years . .

      
in the area of unconventional thought or deeds struggle against the old , the relatively similar case
of astrologist Copernicus comes to mind .the innovation against the supremely settled old astrological law  that the earth is the core of the universe was severely undermine  the interest and authority of the power at that time , as a consequence , the later supported correctness of his theory was slandered to be a profaning evil to gods and leading authority , Copernicus was sentenced to death , but his theory was finally publicized ,though after his death , and great contribution to the key development of astrology was widely acknowledged by the world .

turning our eyes to the area of literature , there are many genius whose work can be  hardly understood or recognized by the masses of the contemporary . luxun , the father of Chinese literature ,who devoted his life time in reforming Chinese literature form composing with  full platitude and obscurity to wording relatively simple and precise , can hardly be accepted by the contemporaries including the citizens and some so called literary masters , yet ,as the time goes by ,nowadays , people finally understand the benefits of the newly reformed literature , who progressed the real content of the context and reduced the economy waste of the unnecessary cost . luxu’s greatness and contribution was unswervingly remembered by the chinese people.


Nevertheless ,when comes to the field of new technology and scientific advancement ,it can always tell whether it is a curse or a blessing , considering the immediately effects of the innovations ,by the contemporaries . looking back at the first  industrial revolutions first taken placed in great Britain in 19th contrary . innovation of stems-trains are invented , machines are largely used to substitute the use of human’s hands .in the secondly industrial revolution , electrical machines including electrical profanes , trains , telephones . although such products are not widely used as we use today at that time ,people are accurately realized that such innovations are of great significance to the manufacturing industry and its greatness can hardly be covered .


All in all  ,we can safely come to the conclusion that hardly can all fields’ greatness of individual are better judged by the later generation .nor could we push the judgment to the hands to the hands of the handy contemporaries . different situations as well as distinguished areas might be taken into account .

1对于只学FACTS ，会使学生没有方向和知道 ，FACTS都是为理论服务
facts 大多 ，哪些有用，那些没有用 ，没有理论的引导 ，学生抓不住根本 ，忽略了主要矛盾
FACTS 有很多面，在大条件：理论下才有意义
2反对第一句的
不是ONL Y ，首先，不否认先学理论在学FACT不容易使人迷失。证明理论
              但是，有时候理论是从FACTS中提炼出来的 ，先学FACTS ，促进理解 ，没有那么枯燥
              还有，有时候先学FACRS 比较客观 ，在学了理论后在看FACTS ，有时不可观，只选择看那些支持理论的FACTS 。
