In my opinion, it is too extreme to claim that the greatness of individuals can be recognized only by posterities. There many kinds of greatness, such as artist, brave soldier, top-sell book's writer, sports star, scientist, and so on. Not all kinds of greatness only can be recognized by contemporaries, obviously, some greatness above can be decided by not only contemporaries but also coevals

Admittedly, time will benefit on posterities’ judgment of greatness, individuals in different eras might have so different value systems that they make the opposite conclusion of greatness of ancestors. The formers' feats might be no longer great in the latter’s standpoints. For example, Hitler who agitates Germans for invading Poland, Britain, and many countries in Africa, is admired by all German soldiers who consider Hitler as a great leader. However, now Germans have apologized for Hitler's debt and abhor this war criminal. But it is not the fair reason to judge that contemporaries always have the wrong opinions, Hitler is a war criminal in our Chinese' opinion at the while, as well as in American and British viewpoint.

One must admit as well that coevals are with their advantages of saying great that they have a direct contact with the great individuals, but posterities can only attain information from the contemporaries’ records, such as books and old news papers.  For all we know, Michael Jordan, the great player in NBA basketball game, who never says cannot and never be defeated by difficulties, bring six championship rings to Chicago. His spirit of playing basketball and confronting with troubles lead so many people to success in different fields. His greatness is widely accepted by people at the moment, even including his competitors. If he died one day or no basketball game there, his spirit will still here and inspire the alive, his greatness will confirm by later generations.

Finally, there are some greatness can hardly be really recognized by contemporaries, success in science is a example in point. A new theory publicized by scientist need time to check it correctness, the formulation accepted by contemporary scientist might be confirmed wrong by the follows. These formulations we use in Physics today have been amended by several generations’ scientists. The reasons why contemporary scientist cannot find out the faults of the new theory might be that the great people exceed the contemporaries in a great distance.   

In sum, the statement ignored the complexity of deciding greatness of individuals, the conclusion extends to that some greatness of individuals can only be decided by posterities and others can be recognized both coevals and future generations.

题目：ISSUE28 - "Students should memorize facts only after they have studied the ideas, trends, and concepts that help explain those facts. Students who have learned only facts have learned very little."

Outline:
1. The ideas, trends, and concepts do help students to memorize facts ,and is the basic of creating new knowledge.
2. Admittedly, sometimes only know how is useful, but cannot use it best.
3. To know the ideas, trends, concepts consume lots of time, but in certain condition it will save time for keeping research from wrong way.
