I fundamentally agree with the speaker's contention that the study of an academic discipline alters the way we perceive the world.As the laws governing the development of objective world don't change as the time goes by,we human being,who study the academic discpline,would see the same world as before,but with different eyes which are much more wider and deeper angle.

The primary reason is that academic discpline broaden the scope which we perceive the world.In the early ages pepole were limited to the knowlegde they owned,the world in their brain were only formed by persons and the earth,they didn't realize that under the common representation there were many miraculous rules about nature.After much studying in different disciplines,the scope of they reached were broaden,those which once were not the content which human being observed such as microorganism,astronomy and outer space,had become the pop reserch subjects.As Marxism-Leninsm holds that each of the two stages in the process of cognition has its own characteristics,with knowledge manisfesting itself as perceptual at the lower stage and logical at the higher stage.The function of the study of an academic discipline promote the course we perceive the world from the higher theory angle.

Admittedly,the depth of knowledge about the world would be achieved by studying academic disciplines.When we only had the knowledge of Newtonian Mechanics,among the discernible things are absolute space and time.After studying relative theory,we find that the boudary of space and time become obscured.Morever,there are full of uncertainty in the world,which we will find after studying quantum mechanics.The world is the same as before,but the person who have studied the relative theory would see the world more scientific and objective.

As for many personal experience,it's obviously true that education in the arts alters forever the way we perceive the aesthetic world around us.…………………………（再加事例说明）
