In some discreet academic disciplines, it is really a rule that scientists and scholars should obey, for data and evidence are the foundation and basis of the theory. As an architecture needs solid foundation under the ground, data plays an role as the basis of this special building-theory. Data is very important and necessary in theorizing an ideology, for it provides the circumstances and conditions to test the theory’s applicability. What invariably happens is that scientists and experts set up or come down to a new theory during multiple processes of numerous experiments which sufficient data. With data and experiments, people often found out the truth or some important principle which have not been discovered before. There are numerous instances in history that data have give births to many principles and axioms. Even though data is necessary and helpful to set up theories, sometimes in special areas such as chemistry, physics or biology and so forth, it is impossible for scientists and scholars to collect sufficient data before a new theory has come out, because the strict situation of experiment cannot be satisfied in the environmental on the earth. Nevertheless, there is no limitation of human’s brain and ideology, which often brings out creative thoughts only enlightened by some connective matters. In this case, people should care less about the amount of data and subsequently propose those novel ideas first, which often prove to be accurate and true in the future. Consider, for example, the most significant principle of the world concerning space and time proposed by the greatest scientist Einstein-the Relativism[Relativity], is just a theory without sufficient data or experiments basis when it was just introduced, which even caused lots of doubts from most contemporary people[scientists]. However, after sufficient work had been done to prove the stable speed of light, everyone realize the value of this theory, which also influence forever in the future. Other instances such as Newton’s classic principle[law] of inertia, Vegener’s hypothesis of continental drift, the famous guess of gold Bach, all demonstrate that putting forward a theory without sufficient data is also a common and applicable method on the way of exploring science in the world.
There is a tight connective relationship between theory and data, each can promote and need the other. Without data, some theory is like a water without source and a tree without root, which may often leads to a grave mistake as the speaker contends.[这个应该展开写] Meanwhile, without setting up any theory, however enough the data is, there is no valuable use for it. Even though many conditions theories are coming out before collecting data, they need to be proved whether right or wrong through data in the future. Therefore, whether a theory is set up upon data or not, it always need data to be a touchstone so that it can exist rightly, while data also need theory to make them valuable and useful.

Nevertheless, data plays an important and indispensable role in either setting up or testing the accuracy of a theory. As a result, neither theory and data should be neglect in the way of searching for the truths.
