There are various role models in our society which gain accomplishment in corresponding areas, most of them provide us the inspiration and courage to pursue success, and also are utilized to build the ethical standards to restrain people's thinking and behaviors. Pursuing role models, however, does not mean to abandon independently thinking and action. Only if one constantly concentrates on seriously thinking and adjusts his direction forward according to the pace of times and his practicality during the process of copying the role models, can he fully reach his objective and finally make all dreams come true.

Admittedly, models of success not only give us the confidence to pursue further accomplishment, but also offer us a guide to the bright future. Role models, especially under some extreme circumstance, ensure the feasibility and possibility to success. Citing Helen Keller's experience for example, she never compromised her destination and was enthusiastic to fight against her born disability--deaf and mute. She finally became a great writer of her era, which greatly encouraged disabled people as well as people in adversity all over the world to fulfill their dreams no matter how difficult they have to confront. In addition, we can also learn correct methods toward success from role models. Some times we should persist till the end, while in some other situations we should take the adventure to give up on our way to success. As we all know, Bill Gates, a sophomore in Harvard University－the destination of all the A  students’ dreams, abandoned his study in Harvard and engaged into the newly developing industry of software, which proved to be the best choice of his life and not only dramatically boomed the software industry but also brought him innumerable asset. That means we can make corresponding choice to lead to the accomplishment under different circumstance when considering the heroic deeds.

Besides, role models can also be used to establish ethical standards to confine people's thinking and behavior in order to build the sound social order that will be benefit for society. People who copy and follow role models often accept their values and view of the world which will contribute to guide people to step forward under certain restrictions. For example, some enterprise often select some outstanding workers annually as role models to encourage the rest workers to learn from, which greatly contribute to the formation and maintenance of enterprise culture that will be conducive to hence the efficiency as well as the quality of work. Another example goes that children are often cultivated with the company of models which will help them to develop altruistic characters and amiable personalities that accord with the social value, without which they may be lost and degenerate on their way of growth.

However, placing emphasis on role models is by no mean to sacrifice independence in thinking and act. It is true that many people blindly pursue the models' experience overlooking individuality which lead to the fatal failure and hazard the society and themselves as well, however what we should do to avoid such unfavorable consequence is to insist on independent thinking and behavior and take into account the practical conditions and appropriate self-evaluation to adjust our behaviors thus make the choices that are best for us

Overall, we would easily lose our directions and give in when face difficulties without role models and similarly, we are not able to build ethical standards to restrain people's behavior. While realizing the benefit brought by models, we should pay more attention to the harmfulness coming from blindly copy of models and insist on serious thinking and action.
