I basically agree with the author's argument that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society, however, we still have not a good way to cultivate children into people who can bring about a better society.

In the first place, the children 's growing up determines the future of our society. In the thousands of years of human history, kinds of conventional customs gradually genenrated and formed in their own manners over the world. These customs, which are delegated as the symbol of a nation, come down from generation to generation by educational method. Thus, there are two burdens imposed on offsprings, one is to herit the wealth of their native culture and tradition, and the other is to develop their society better in kinds of aspects like science, environment as well as education and so forth. Consequently, it can confidently conclude that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society.

Second, it has to be conceded unfortunately that we have not yet find a proper method to raise children who are able to creat a better future of human society, which is just like the argument mentioned in the passage. Currently, the children born in the new times are too feeble to confront difficulties due to the better environment they growing up. In my observation, most children born in urban do not have the ability to deal with living things by themselves, instead, in most events they prefer to depend on their parents' help. What is worse, during the children's growing up, their parents always imbue their competitive concience to get the first place in any field. Children conducted often like this will gradually get more selfish and do not care others' feelings at all except the champion place. However, unfortunately, in the current society, the most valuable concept in our daily business is cooperation and teamwork rather than competition alone. Most inventions are created by a team which has more power and capbility than individual. On balance, we do not have a right way to cultivate children in this aspect.

Third, however, it is gradually known by people that present education method is short in some aspects of children's growing up like independence, confidence and cooperation as well as communication with others. In many places, the teamwork practice was very popular among children, in which method children will learn how to convey their ideas to others in a proper way and how to accomplish a task with others. Although these modern education methods are still not common in our schools, this is a good trend in our society which our educational teachers should account for.

In sum, what our society will become mostly depend on how children are socialized today and how they are educated. The eduacational system imposed a heavy burden ought to find some modern and better ways subsidy ordinary education to make children become a more capable and confident person with the cooperative concience who are more qualified with future work and capable of making our society better.
