TOPIC: ARGUMENT17 - The following appeared in a letter to the editor of the Walnut Grove town newspaper.
"Walnut Grove's town council has advocated switching from EZ Disposal (which has had the contract for trash collection services in Walnut Grove for the past ten years) to ABC Waste, because EZ recently raised its monthly fee from $2,000 to $2,500 a month, whereas ABC's fee is still $2,000. But the town council is mistaken; we should continue using EZ. EZ collects trash twice a week, while ABC collects only once. Moreover, EZ-which, like ABC, currently has a fleet of 20 trucks-has ordered additional trucks. Finally, EZ provides exceptional service: 80 percent of respondents to last year's town survey agreed that they were 'satisfied' with EZ's performance."

The speaker asserts that the Walnut Grove's town council should switch from ABC contract to trash collection services to EZ Disposal with the some reasons he provides, but I don't think the reasons is enough to support the assumption.
At first place, the speaker recommends that we should choose the EZ because EZ collects trash twice a week while ABC collects once. But the speaker does not provide the times of the town needs to collect trashes, may be one time is enough. And the speaker only notes the times but doesn't tell us the quality of the collection. And perhaps the EZ doesn't collect the trashes cleanly but ABC get clearly all the trashes so ABC makes everyone fell happy and reliable.
The fact that EZ have more trucks does not support the speaker well. Because the speaker does not tell us how many trucks we need in the town, maybe there is enough to service the town, and the speaker doesn't provide the evidence that this trucks are plan to used in the town, perhaps EZ was a so large company so it will use more car to other town, the really trucks in Walnut Grove is less than ABC.
Finally, the results of the survey does make us the recommendation should be accepted. First, the statement doesn't provide the number of people take part in the survey and whether the people can represent the whole town's person. Maybe just a little number of people who work for the EZ Company take part in the survey. And maybe just the person who used the service of EZ joined in the survey. At the same time, the speaker does not provide a similar survey of ABC, perhaps the percent of the satisfied will be high than 80 percent.
In sum, as the reasons given by the statement, we can’t the same conclusion as the speaker. May be the ABC provides more satisfied service and the number of trucks doesn't make us believe that we should choose the EZ rather than ABC. To get the conclusion, we need more information that the survey is justifiable and the services provided by EZ are better than ABC.

First of all, the fact that the alpaca overcoat has not been offered does not mean that the sales will be well
In the second place, there is no evidence that the customers will pay the alpaca overcoat for high price.
Finally, even if the customers will pay the alpaca overcoat for high price, there are no sufficient evidence that the company will get more profit

First of all, the author provides no assurances that the members in the survey are representative.
In the second place, the author’s conclusion that people dining in a group are less likely to feel personally responsible for leaving an adequate or generous tip
A 174
First of all, the author provides no evidence that the survey is on which the argument depends is statistically reliable.
In the second place, there is no sufficient evidence to support that keeping the college all-female will improve morale among students.
Finally, the author can make me convince that the alumni would not support the college financially if the school do not keep the tradition
A 216
First of all, the fact that the housing costs have fallen in last year and the estate tax lower than other area can not support the conclusion well.
In the second place, there is no evidence that the promise made by the mayor will turn to the fact.
In the third place, even is the promise can be practiced , there is insufficient evidence that the retire should choose the town
Finally, the number of the doctor is large do not means the medical service will be better.
A 137
First of all, there is no sufficient evidence that reason for the people don’t play on the river is the water is not clean
In the second place, the plan about the river might can not to be the fact in future.
Finally, even if the river will clean and the people play in the river will more, it does not necessary that the publicly owned lands will be improvement.
