The science research itself is valuable. The result of science and the tools that developed from it are neutral, so whether the science research benefit to the society is decided by the people’s choice  who uses it.
Research is the exploration of the unknown for true answer to our questions, and for lasting solutions to our enduring problems.
Eg: SARS
Research is the chief means by which we humans attempt to satisfy our insatiable appetite for knowledge and our craving to understand ourselves and the world around us.
Eg: 对宇宙的认识
Some researches seem useless in contemporary, but it always brings inventions to society.
Eg: 孟德尔的研究
After all, expensive research always carries significant opportunity costs. We should balance the research and the society’s immediate problem.

Issue43:
An effective leader should maintain the highest ethical and moral standards. Moral or ethical obligation is root of being a good leader. And more, being a effective leader takes much more than mere ethics and morality. After considering vary facts, public officials can do their task more effective.
In the business realm, the most effective leaders are those who maximize profits while fulfilling the highest public or professional moral or ethical obligation to customers, to employee and to society.
Eg: providing safe products and by implementing pollution
In the political realm, an official without high ethnical and moral standards is doomed to fail to lead the public effectively.

Yet being an effective public leader takes much more than mere ethics and morality, however high they may be. The main task of public officials is to make their institution function smoothly and efficiently.


Issue56:
Immediate problems and anticipated problems stand the two sides of levinery. Government should balance both of them. Ignoring either of them will bring blaster to society. Government should instinct the weight of problems. Based the stability of developing society, the government should solve the immediate problems at first and then to solve the anticipated problems.
The unsolved immediate problem will be a big block prev the development of the society. Many immediate problems such as unemployment, poverty and lack of marketable skills will negatively influence social stability and sustainable development, this deserving government’s immediate and urgent attention.
Eg: 环境问题
On the other hand, government as the distributor of public resources should not ignore anticipated problems, and should allocate funds proactively.
Eg: such foresight and earlier emphasis of problems of environment or disease, such as SARS, could have led to early and preventative treatment.

Issue59:
Our life is full filled with models. Models of success around us date from our childhood. Successful examples give us inspiration to achieve our dream. But when we emphasis the power of models, we should give more space to think about ourselves.
Models of success offer us inspiration to pursue further accomplishment.
Eg: children develop their characters   adults need models in their workplace
Successful examples teach agreeable qualities and unique ways of thought and problem=solving.
Eg: the model of chainstore
But blindly copying and following the models’ experience, overlooking individuality, may result in loss of independence and aim.
Eg: supergirl
