ISSUE141- "Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact isthat personal economic success requires conformity."

In the process ofpersonal economic success, which is more important between the benefits ofindividuality and conformity? I fundamentally agree with the conclusion thatboth factors exert indispensable parts. All my perspectives are presented asfollows.

To begin with,benefits of individuality have a directly effect on personal economic success,for which could promote the innovation and society’ progress. For example, inthe early years of 20’s century,there exists a conventional thought - it is impossible for cars to enter eachfamily for its expensive prices. However, Fordinvited Assembly Line, which speeds up production greatly and thereforereducing costs. Finally, the innovational practice help Ford became America’largest auto company. Nowadays, modern company pay more attention on individualthoughts and practices to raise efficiency, and by this way could a person surviveand success in the dog-eat-dog era.

Furthermore,cooperation also contributes greatly to personal economic success. Due to theexplosion of knowledge and the limitation of resources, it is always necessaryor even desirable for people to cooperate, and therefore gaining most benefits.Two simple examples will illustrate this point, in software company,programmers and artists work together in order to exploit professional andfriendly product; in the insurance company, mathematical professors work outthe rate of compensation and research economy in a quantitative way, whilesellers utilize their marketing experience to attract more consumers. Fromthose examples, we can easily draw the conclusion that it is the conformitythat promote the development of economy, and enable people to gain personaleconomic success.

Yet, it is alsoinfeasible to overstate each of the two aspects. Personal economic successrequires people to strike a balance between the two "controversial"points. For instance, if our society places overmuch emphasis on conformity orcooperation, then it will easily cause the decrease of efficiency and thespread of laziness. Yet, if individual benefits become the center of people'slife, then selfishness and fraud will gradually become society's disaster. Sowe

To sum up,benefits of individuality and conformity all have close relationship withpersonal economic success, and they work together to raise personal efficiencyand accelerate the development of individuality. Yet to overstate each of themis not advisable, for which may cause severe mistakes or even disaster.
