TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

As the accelerating development of our society, adequate talents are needed by all the aspect of society. Thus how to cultivate children to a useful person is becoming a hot argument. The speaker argued that education will be truly effective only when it is apecifically designed to meet the individuals needs and interests of each students .Although I agree with the speaker's view point, I would qualify it in several aspect.

Students are the main part of education, and without considering students' interesting and needs, education can not be effect to students. Just think about homework ranged by teachers and most of which are copy work or repeat of information which students have already master. As a result most students don't like or even refused to do homework  ,and some of them are been devided into bad students . A great part of teachers has underestimate the effects of interesting and keep phreaching in their class without considering their students.

Student-centered education can inspire every students potential ablility and arouse interesting in studying .Special education aim at  individuals --discovering problems exit in individuals ,making effect plans for everybody to improve their knowledge--is more effective than teacher-centered education.
However ,if we want everybody receive the best education ,we should make a whole detailed plan for every students. But who can and want to make those plans? Teachers? Maybe they don't know their students as they always considered. How about parents ,schools, communities ,governments ,or our country? Cost of this style education must be great and our country probobily can't afford it . Staff of school must be enlarge to balance the number of students and teachers . So it if difficult to put those ideas into effect.

Besides, if we could make the students--centered education into realistic  , it wouldn't be the most efficient education ,since some students may don't know their interesting and needs. For instance, a kid told his teacher that he want to be the president of his country ,what should his teacher do ? Taught him how to join the elect and how to bleat his opposite down? And what if he said he want be the God? As a matter of fact , most of children don't know their interesting and needs. On contrary , students who are older seems more clear than them. Too much early student--centered education maybe waste time and money. So traditional education should be received by those younger students .

As a important part of education , value students' ability can't be ignore in the  education. Although traditional value system emphasis on the grade , it could reflect many aspect of a students. Then , how should a students--centered  education value students' ability? Emphasis should not be put on a the grade ,but a value system could arouse students’ enthusiasm in study and cause their competition spiritual.

To conclude , students can only aquire more knowledge and improve themselves rapidly when we take a balance between traditional education and student—centered education.
