2.但是对于基础学科来说,像是物理、数学就没有办法参与校外实践

As an advocate for the idea “we learn to work”, I inevitably give a preference towards the suggestion that drive all the faculty in the college to attend certain professions that are relevant to their courses in order to receive a better education, but courses in college is not all about those which can maintain a good contact with outside world, so, I’d better say that to some extent we can think so
I admire those who major in some practical lessons such as medical, economics. These subjects have a firmly relationship with our daily life, therefore, there is no doubt that the rational theory and practical practice standing in the same line will be a lot of good to the those who teach this course, and consequently, bring great benefit to the teacher’s instruction quality, gradually, the instruction quality of college will step to a upper level as well as the level of the whole college which is named after the quality of the teachers and teaching methods. If you can not deduce it from daily experience, I can give you some specific examples.
Let’s first turn to economic and management major, students learn in the book concerning about how to deal with economic problems, both connecting with people’s lives and country’s development, in this case, it is far from enough to eat up the book, but also put the theory into practical use, whatever the ups and downs of stock market having some relation to what knowledge students learn in the book, or the great depress will ever have to happen again having something to do with the trend of the development of economy of country, during the course of the traveling of students within these complicated relationship—nets, teachers act as a guidance role who themselves would have to step toward first, so, this faculty members required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach would be a no—better choice in pursuing a better instruction quality.
Nevertheless, those who teach courses like physics and math will stay at campus studying the basic knowledge for there is no place for them to go for practice, we never heard of some physicians fly up to Mars in order to study the orbit it goes around the sun, nor did we ever hear of a mathematics measuring a triangle in order to study the exchange of units. As for these teachers in the college, offering them a good research atmosphere is far more significant than finding a wonderland for sightseeing, only in this way, their solid basic knowledge will bring a lot more to students to follow, the instruction quality would go along with it.
The instruction quality or the level of a college is totally depend on the quality of teachers, if the college management can spare no effort to offer every faculty teaching staff with a proper development atmosphere, it is absolutely benefit a lot to them whether in their study area or their teaching area, in this way, not only the purpose of school will be realized but also the fruitful result will help students a lot. But now only the word proper have to be taken into consideration seriously, for those which major is practical, and can go along with people’s lives, the college should send faculty out of campus to undertake relative social experience, but for those which major is not that practical, like math or physics, offer them a good research atmosphere will be a better way.
In sum, it is not the solution it matters, but what is the better solution it matters, according to the fact, giving different considerations, I think the college level will be up and up naturally!
ARGUMENT51 - The following appeared in a medical newsletter.
"Doctors have long suspected that secondary infections may keep some patients from healing quickly after severe muscle strain. This hypothesis has now been proved by preliminary results of a study of two groups of patients. The first group of patients, all being treated for muscle injuries by Dr. Newland, a doctor who specializes in sports medicine, took antibiotics regularly throughout their treatment. Their recuperation time was, on average, 40 percent quicker than typically expected. Patients in the second group, all being treated by Dr. Alton, a general physician, were given sugar pills, although the patients believed they were taking antibiotics. Their average recuperation time was not significantly reduced. Therefore, all patients who are diagnosed with muscle strain would be well advised to take antibiotics as part of their treatment."
