In the era of social and technological changing leading to modern life which is more complicated and fashionable, history seems to be a far away world to people. The speaker claims that the study of history has value only when it comes to relevant to our daily life. I don't agree with him to some extent. As far as I'm concerned, history is valuable experience for modern people to all aspects of their lives instead of merely on daily lives.

First of all, it is a deniable fact that history is worthy of learning by every person. People can only live in a society no matter what the society likes--poor or rich. Humans live in a world which is full of social actions. History is what our ancestor left to us; it includes plenty of social and personal actions which can educate us as examples. From it, we can learn the positive aspects of it and rule out negative aspects.

Secondly, history plays a very important role in our daily lives. It influences everything of today's life. Although society is so developed as today, we cannot forget the experience that history teaches us. Many traditional customs are one of the most representative examples. It is a common sense that all the people usually eat three meals one day--breakfast, lunch and supper except the people who have some special life customs. This is a demonstration of history that we still insist on today. Also, we have to wash face every night before we go to bed. Another example is that the Spring Festival in China and Christmas in Western countries, even through ancient time to today, the traditions still don't change. All these things are the influences that history left to us.

However, the study of history also has value in other aspects in our life nor merely the daily life. On a realm of politics, a lot of governors learn the strategies from the lords or dominators in the history who were good at govern the country or had great ability to fight with enemies. The experience they accumulated for their offspring, in another word, modern people is valuable. For example, Chairman Mao learn the socialism from the masterpiece of Maxis, the creator of Socialism, under the domination of him, Chinese people fight with Japanese and won after eight years' war. So, history not only gives us something relevant to daily life but also something of lasting value that cannot be count with money.

On a realm of economy, the effect of history cannot be neglected, neither. The historical market rules "change for equal price" is still the law of the economic market today no matter how developed the society is. And, the primitive productions also become art today. For instance, the Great Wall of China is artworks of history, now become the most popular place to visit for the people all over the world, which is increasing the profit of tourism. And the Eiffel Tower in Paris is as well as the same case. So, history sometimes brings us the beauty of life, and makes us feel marvelous about the historical things.

On a realm of culture, history is one of the most significant causes to develop modern culture. For example, the folk ballads were song by bards in the history now become a kind of traditional art in the music field. The novels wrote by Mark Twain tell us the social situation and emotion of people in the time. History helps us to understand the culture of ancient time and improve our culture now. They enrich the material and spirit life of people today. Its effect is also important.

In sum, the study of history is very important to every aspect in modern society. We cannot deny the effect of history which influences our life. Therefore, human should pay more attention on the study of history and it is worth to so.
