When it comes to the controversial topic about which is more important between the excellent knowledge and the good communication skills for teachers, different people hold different viewpoints, some of them, with the first impression, assert the former outweighs the latter. As for as I am concerned, I tend to stress the significance of the good communication skills with students. I will explain my opinion based on the following reasons.

First of all, a nicer relationship between students and teachers contributes to the learning of students. According the latest survey shows, with the same other circumstance, the more well teachers get along with students, the more quickly students take in the knowledge taught by their teachers. Because interest is the best friend. And those teachers who are skillful with communication with students could increase the students’ interest to the study easier and more efficiently.

However, if lacking the skills of dealing the interpersonal relationship between students and teachers themselves, they will hardly become a really distinguished teacher, even thought they have excellent knowledge. Just have a imagination, what can teachers with excellent knowledge but lacking communication skills do for students? In most cases, they simply can speak endlessly before the platform without understanding that whether the majority of students have tired of the things they are teaching. If so, for students, no matter how abundant knowledge a teacher has, it is not much beneficial to students, because they could absorb little.

On the other hand, to teachers themselves, this kind of indispensable skill could promote the enthusiasm to work. Having close relationship with students will help teachers get a lot of active reaction from students when taking classes.

This active reaction, to some extent, will stimulate teachers to work better and enable them to be full of sense of achievement.

To sum up, taking all above-mentioned reasons into consideration, we can see what an important thing it is to master communication skills with students for teachers. Because it can contribute students to taking in knowledge more quickly and more efficiently, at same time, promote the teachers’ enthusiasm to work.
