This statement asserts that, the value of history only embodied when it is relevant to our daily lives. I can't totally agree with this conclusion. The value of history is imponderable and brings an overall impact on both human and their society.

To begin with, history can cultivate person's character and morals. Studying moral history stories can teach you, how to be a responsible person, how to respect your parents and your teachers and take care of your younger sister or brother like the story named: Kong gives his pear to his brothers. From reading about real success history stories often illustrates people can became leaders in every field as long as they have persistence or courage. Therefore, studying history is benefit for person to shape their inner quality.

Secondly, the value of studying history is also embodied in the development of human brain. I am not a student majoring in history, but every new course we learned are beginning with its developing history. After reading that, a clear system of this course was built from its beginning to the latest. When we meet some complex notion or expression, it is easy for us to check out the origin following the system. Furthermore, we can also learn the way of thinking from studying history. Bionics was found by the ancient. For example, Luban, a Chinese carpenter, invented saw when he was hurt by a piece of leaf with zigzag edge. Now, people still produce many inventions with this thinking-bionics.

Finally, studying history contributes to our society. History is like a mirror. When you look into the mirror, you will find your shortage and then you can correct it. So as the society, it also needs a history mirror to alarm it. I have read a book called "the silence spring" wrote on last century about after the using of DDT as pesticide, the birds stopped singing, fish stopped swimming and people were suffering great pains. The village is silence. That is the description of environmental pollution. It is unwise to sacrifice their living condition to develop economic. So nowadays, the presidents from a majority number of countries or areas come to an agreement to protect the environment and enhance cooperation. That is the right direction which history shows us.

In sum, the value of history not only extents every aspects of our daily lives, but also bring merits to our society.
