1、几乎我们所研究的所有领域，都与我们的生活息息相关，历史当然也不例外。我们身边的事物、观念都有开始、发展的一个过程，因此都有自己的历史。我们可以通过历史来更好的分析和研究这些事物和观念的本质。

2、研究历史，可以对我们有激励作用，让我们在生活中遇到挫折或者问题的时候，有足够的勇气与面对，并提供相应的经验可以去借鉴。

3、研究历史，可以让我们知道从前人们犯的一些错误，从而以此为鉴，让我们不再犯同样的错。

4、但是，有时候，研究历史也不一定要和我们的生活相关，有时候也只是为了在探寻过去所发生的故事。

Does the study of history have values only when it is relevant to our daily lives? In my view, the history is recorded by people and, of course, they use their own perspective to study and evaluate the history. Also in the period of studying history, people always relate it with their daily lives and at this time the value of history is apparent. However, sometimes the history is also useful in inspiring people's imagination and making people enjoy it.

Admittedly, almost any field we study is directly or indirectly related with or serve for our lives, and history is also unexceptional. Every object or conception has its beginning and development under its surface which cannot be known at first glance; that is to say, everything has its own histories which need people to dig them out. The history can always tell us the how these objects or ideas are discovered or invented, how it developed, and how they show their values in the past. In this case, with the study of these histories, we can learn more and deeper about the essences of these objects and conceptions. For example, the history of hip-hop tells us the desire and pursuit of freedom in African Americans heart. By going through the related history, we can find some merit hidden in the object which we might overlook before.

What is more, studying history can inspire us, especially when we meet some setback or difficulties which also appeared in the river of the history. There are always some amazing and wonderful stories about how heroes confront with and get out of the difficulties in a fiction or myth. However, what history tells us are not only the certifiable heroes existing in reality who go through a extremely dark period and save his people, but also some ordinary people, the same as us, who provide lessons about the courage, diligence or significant protest. By studying some significant movements of women in the history, one can learn that everyone in the world are born equal and when one cannot enjoy his own right, he should make effort to fight for himself. By learn the story of famous musician Beethoven, one can learn that people should bravely and straight confronted with any setback in life, fight against the unfortunate destiny and finally they would find his precious value to exist.

Besides, studying history are useful to us because it can also aware us of some mistakes which have taken place in the history to avoid us make the same mistakes in future. In the long river of the history, some periods or some ideas are always amazingly similar; people always do much wrong their ancestors did. In this case, one can just sum up the experience get from our ancestors by which one can meet fewer failures and boost the development of society. For example, we learn about Robert Owen, a utopian socialist and social reformer, failed to establish a socialist society; therefore, we will not follow his way which may hamper the development of our society.

However, the history also has some merit when it has nothing with our daily lives. Just similar with some fiction and myth, there are always many movable and beautiful stories which compose the long history. It is said that when we are recording history, we are creating history. A wise historian knows that what moves people most is the dramatic and skillful writing, as well as accuracy. In pursuit of the humanistic and aesthetic goals, people can devote themselves to constructing the fragments of the past stories, far away from immediate and present-day utility, such as the love story in the Trojan War.

Accordingly, the history is useful mostly because it can inspire and direct people to lead a better life. At the same time, the history is valuable in making people immerse in the beautiful and love stories which have little relationship with our daily lives.
