"Most people would agree that buildings represent a valuable record of any society's past, but controversy arises when old buildings stand on ground that modern planners feel could be better used for modern purposes. In such situations, modern development should be given precedence over the preservation of historic buildings so that contemporary needs can be served."

The ancient buildings is one of the important forms of the identification and embody of the history, preservation of the historic buildings is preserving the history. Even though this preservation sometimes disturbs the modern development plans, who should place the preservation at the first place.

As the history identification, the historic building valuation belongs to the entire society or the nation, rather than the small group or even individual. Modern planners or building businessmen always commit their activities based on the profits from contemporary markets. In other words the interests they concern about, maybe only about, is the their profits. The price of historic buildings should not be worthy of the spots under their foot. To the educators, the old buildings are impassionate patriotic lessons; in the architects' eyes, these ancient constructions reveal the distinct architectural arts; as refer to the historians, the shabby houses demonstrate the previous civilization; towards the whole human, the historic buildings means national identities and roots of the cultural spirit.

Furthermore, historic buildings play the indispensable role in the long term of development of human. Undoubtedly, it is no fault to strive to fulfill the contemporary needs of the housing. But this commitment should not bring the damage to the long time interests of the society. The historic building value is beyond the potential of housing, whose historic valuation serves the whole people ranged from before to future. We have no rights to destroy those buildings, which are transmitted from our father just as their father did. We could build the modern skyscrapers based on the knowledge accumulated for generations. However, we have on methods to rebuild the history, whose carriers of the historic buildings serve not only our generation's contemporary needs, but also the needs from the requirement of posterity of modern human's.

Admittedly, not all the old buildings reach the standards of the represent historic buildings. For most old buildings, whose main purposes are severing the problem of people housing, modern planners applying the ground to serve modern needs could make the full use the space resource, and provide the more convenient and spacious building. That should give the precedence to the modern development.

In sum, the historic buildings are always regarded as historic and cultural legacy, whose valuation extends the housing. Both the valuation in the culture, spirit and the importance during the whole history of people development determine that the historic buildings should be given the precedence over the contemporary needs.

内容和结构都没什么毛病，思维也比较严谨，我的水平不如你，所以很多语法结构我感觉我没见过的就标出来了，未必不对，但是应该考虑一下。

我感觉我们都属于那种善于说理型，例子有点事少。听一个国外读书的朋友说，分析的透彻是很好的事，但是怕的是批卷人不仔细看。有例子可以让他们知道我们文章的内容比较丰富，写文章的人见多识广。如果纯是道理的分析，在不仔细看的情况下，很难被看出优点来。所以为了应试,多搞点例子吧，最好是那些专有名词什么的，大写字母一堆往那一摆，挺显眼的。

语言还是很不错的，同义词的替换特别好，可以多加一些表示逻辑关系的连接词，这是新东方老师说的，最好没两句话之间就有一个，理由同上，给批卷人提示。
