In the modern society, research is the main impetus to improve the technology, which is defined as the first productivity. Investment in the research calls for insight and wisdom, as well as the courage, because for each research has the risk that there is possibility of no rewarding consequence, or even the negative impacts on the society. Therefore I do agree with that "Money spent on research is almost always a good investment", but estimation and interview on the research about the valuation and worthiness is essential to the reward of investment.

It is important to calculate the plan of investment on the research. Both the individuals of persons or companies want to gain the rewarding result from the research, which could be used in the productivity of company, or the progress of knowledge. So considering carefully about the risk and potential profits would avoid much unnecessary wasting money for both companies and societies, and in this way resources could be utilized effective. Moreover, for some research with possible bad results, such as the study on the chemical pesticide which is notorious of its disastrous impact on the ecological and environmental pollution, there should be necessary to survey and assess the possible damage form such research, and the correlated laws form the countries. In addition, some research we should consider it from the angle of the social moral and culture. The social hospital urgently needs the human organs for the patients transplant operation, and the modern technology is no more an handicap for studying human clone, but it is the moral and social ethical standards that forbid these activity.

A good investment always is believed that with the minimum risk of non-rewarding, the least cost could produce the maximum benefits. If any one element cannot be reach, investors or researchers have to pray for the others that could compensate the loss. Therefore, there researches should be warned or prohibited by the government.

In sum, although there are many controversial researches, I do believe that with enough assessment and analysis, investment on research could bring enormous benefits and profits for both individuals and society.
