it is better to work for a large company than for a small company (2006.11.3)
When it comes to the job, the first instinct hits many people is work for big company, while others prefer working for small company. There is no consensus among people as to this topic, but for me, I would love to work for a huge company. The following statements will contribute to my opinion.
First, the big company provides a systematic training for green-hands, help them know the culture of the company. Each time the new employees join in the big company, the master will arrange a systematic training for them in order to let them know the culture of the company, what the company do, how to do that. The process of learning culture of the big company is necessary, for the simple reason that the big company is the one who went through many difficulties in the past and survive today. Therefore, it has its own valuable culture, which greatly helps people work better in the future. It also helps people form a systematic mind of how to do things and provide people thoughts if they want to build your own company. While, in the small company employees have no chance learning the essence of the company.
Second, the big company will give its worker more chances. As a big company, it must have many connections with other companies, either domestic or overseas. For the need of expanding market, it will send certain employees there and do the career. In this way, the people who stay there have chance get in touch with other countries’ culture, how they organize their companies, make friends with foreigners, enhance their own abilities. But the small company has no opportunities like that.
Take into account of all these factors, it is goes without saying that working for big company weighs more than work for small company.

It is a tough job for people to choose where to work, large companies, such as HP, Citibank, pfizer or the like, or samll ones without any reputation? Employees make decisions according to their preferences. However for me, I would love to serve a large company, especially when systematic trainings and broader horizons awarded there are taken into consideration.
To start with, a big company can provide a considerate training program to green hands, informing them of company's culture. As is well known, many big companies, especially world-class corporations are ready to help newcomers turn familiar with new work environments by orientation, rotation and the like, and people there can obtain various skills related to their duties, which are the achievments of the groups' decades or even longer time's accumulation. Thus, new employees would soon know what tasks should be done and how to deal with them. The integrated training systems are only based on rational organizations, which large companies can give to a larger degree. Contrastly, samll companies is short of sufficient resource to let their workers obtain similar trainings as big ones, because they lack of enough capitals, reasonble organizations and rich cultures. All of these deficiencies lead to small one's disadvantages when they are standing alongside big opponents.
Secondly, workers in big companies have more chances to strengthen themselves in their fieds. For example, large companies always keep touch with their business partners, both at home and abroad. For closer mutual connection, employees can thereby be of more likelyhood to be sent into other companies temporarily. In this way, persons absorb more essence from different surroundings, make friends with various background, and become fortified in their jobs. For small companies, conditions seem opposite--there people even experience isolation from the rest of world because of much more limitation at all levels. From this point, big companies overweigh their small counterparts due to they holding rich and complicate network in modern business. They help us broaden horizons and trigger more contribution from us to themselves, and I hold passion for this positive mechanism.
After accounting for the advantages brought about by big companies seriously, we should try our best to get offers from them and welcome the splendid future ahead of us.
