TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

How education can be truly effective? Must it be through the way that to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, as the topic contents? In my point of view, designing education to meet the needs of everyone is necessary, but it not means that only when do this the education could be truly effective.

Admittedly, interest is the best teacher. If education is designed to meet the students' needs and interests, it will get better educational effect. That is because every person has his own characters and forte, and he could put his all passions into his favorite area and devote himself to explore and do the research. Thus, he could do his best in this area and then the education which meets his interests will be most effective.

However, it not necessary that it must be effective as long as education meet the individual needs and interests. On the one hand, to some extent, many students, especially for some young children, don't know what their true interests are at all. Many of them are uncertain and confused about that which they really like and what kind of work would be really suitable for them. So that it causes a problem that how could education do to meet everyone's needs and interests? It sounds like impossible. Not mention to get the truly effectiveness from this way. On the other hand, the interests of the people could be changed and may not be persisted by the people all the time, therefore, it is difficult for schools to design for the students' interests specifically all the time. When educators rack their brains to design all kinds of suitable curriculums for every student, the education effectiveness would go down and the students may not get very organized and systematic knowledge.

In addition, what is the essence of the education? What is the truly effectiveness of the education? Is that when every student gets his interest things the education can be the most successful and effective? Maybe everyone has his own point of view on this problem. In my opinion, the education should teach students not only the knowledge they interest, but also some fundamentally conception, interpersonal skills, and some useful knowledge in the future society life, no matter the students like or dislike. Many curriculums are important and necessary for a person to know. For example, the arithmetic, maybe many students don't like to learn it, but it is very significant for they them to know this fundamental knowledge. Otherwise they will be troubled very much in their daily life. Such kind of knowledge should implant to the students compulsorily. Moreover, the education also should teach the students to learn how to think independently, how to survive in this society and how to get along with others so that could live better and more harmoniously in their life. All of these is important and should be considered by the educator, not only the interests of the students themselves. If they ignore these significant aspects, the education cannot be truly effective, because the students may be taught to become very narrow mind and even cannot acclimate the whole society.

To sum up, it is not that only when education be designed specifically to meet every student's interests and needs the education could be truly effective. To meet to the individual interests and needs is necessary and benefits to the education, but it should not be overemphasized. To get truly effectiveness of the education, there are many other aspects should be considered also.

To sum up, it is not that only when education be designed specifically to meet every student's interests and needs the education could be truly effective. To meet to the individual interests and needs is necessary and benefits to the education, but it should not be overemphasized. To get truly effectiveness of the education, there are many other aspects should be considered also.
我认为还是应该把教育的功能好好看一下，再 仔细研读下范文。基本思路是对的，但是语言和例证还是需要简练例证需要外国人看懂。我的浅见仅供参考，不好意思。
