Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates creates problems. Which view do you agree with?

It has been nearly seventy years since the first computer ENIAC was made in Pennsylvania University in 1945. Computers have developed in an incredible pace. At the same time, Internet, as one of the major appliances of computer, has become an indispensable part in our life.

First, Internet makes it easier in getting information all we needed. With the help of Internet, there is always no need to buy a newspaper, the only thing that need to do is to open a news website on your monitor simply with the keyboard and mouse. Moreover, the news on the Internet are always later than these on the news paper. CNN, for instance, the news on its website is updated by minute or sometimes even by second. However, the news on a newspaper usually is the affairs happened yesterday Using a search engine, such as Google, Yahoo, Live search, and the list will go on, one can easily obtain the message you want.

Second, scientific researches are improved by Internet. In the past, the communication between two institutes, especially for the two located in different countries, are really difficult. In order to deliver some documents, they had to resort to the definitely inefficient and time-consuming snail-mail, many more urgent scientific procedures were delayed. Nowadays, the research institute all over the globe could be attached into a whole, and the share of some accessible resources are become possible. For example, a share of experimental data could attract more people of the same interest to participate in the research project, therefore diverse methods will be applied. All these contribute a lot to today's scientific breakthrough.

Admittedly, the widespread use of Internet virtually brings about some negative impacts. All too often we observe that the pirate of software, movie and music is never difficult to find on the Internet. Blue and violent pages are also easy to find on the Internet. It is really dangerous for the children to the exposure too much to these pages. A further more self-discipline is necessary for children. For example, there are countless game websites on the Internet, children have to learn to control over these temptations.

In sum, though Internet do exert some negative influence on our life, there is absolutely no need to refuse and reject improvement.
