Recently years, our life has changed little by little. When it comes to the issue that people will spend less time in cooking or preparing food in twenty years than nowadays, I definitely agree with it. In my opinion, higher pressure, the development of food industry directly contributes to our less time on cooking nowadays, as discussed below.

First of all, most of us would not deny that today's life full of more pressure than before. With the development of society distribution, people have to stand more pressure than twenty years ago. That directly cause that people have less time to freely distribute. Therefore, meals, especially meals in workdays, become simpler and convenient. That's why people people prefer fast-food. Take my own experience for example. Every morning, I must get up at 6:30, and I must take the 7:20 subway to my workplace. So I prefer eat some fast-food in my way to workplace because if I do some cooking I will be late. Accordingly, less time which caused by high pressure is the major reason for people spend less time on cooking than before.

In addition, the development of food industry provides more choices to us. I live in Beijing, if I wander, I can eat all meals which deprive from different provinces in Beijing.  Futhermore, compare to economic levels of majorities, these different style restaurants did not too expensive to afford. Consider that, just 10-30 Yuan, you can taste perfect Sichuan Dishes or Chongqing Hot Pots, why not? Therefore, acceptable prices and variety of dishes also contribute the choices that people prefer to eat in outside.  

Finally, people do not worry about that the clean problem of dirty dishes when they are eating outside. That's very terrible! I really hate cleaning the dirty dishes, time-consuming and really suck. I prefer eat outside with little higher price and good service.

To sum up, less time caused by high pressure and the improvement of economic levels would be essential factors of the trend that people spend less time in cooking than before.
