Topic:  Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Getting advice from older friends is more valuable than getting advice from friends at your age.

Advices from all aspects serve as catalyst in one's way to success. Therefore, in the point of my view, no matter the advice from olders or our contemporaries, they play a very vital role in our life, as discussed below.

I confess that older friends gain more experience than these "rookies". The brush of time can bring wisdom. That wisdom might be mature attitude toward some fiasco in our trip to pursue our career or relatively combination of practical experience and knowledge in campus. From the Chinese famous militarist Sun Tzu's book--the Art of War, the military commanders even the modern business leaders can attain some valuable information about how to improve efficiency in a team. They also learn some essential strategies that make the operation of team more effectively and efficiently. In this sense, advices from our older friends such as Sun Tzu are very helpful and its value has far beyond daily life.

However, we can not deny that our friends at our age adequately know what we think in some cases. Nowadays, the technique is updating at a speed which is unprecedented. That directly results in the gap between generations are enlarged. Maybe we prefer something looks cool while our parents think that it really not be accepted. I fall in love with my girlfriend when I was 14 while my father first fell in love when he was 25. All of these gaps contribute to the situations that to some extent we can not exchange ideas and thoughts with our older friends, especially our parents. However, our contemporaries seems to more knowable about our styles such as what kind of clothes we fond of and which sport star we like best. Therefore, in this sense, our contemporaries have more priorities than our older friends.

Finally, we should not accept or exclude all advices given by olders or our contemporaries without any thinking. Having advices is always not bad, however, we should figure out what advice is suitable or not before we take steps on.

To sum up, older people can give valuable information and strategies about our career while younger friends can give some useful advice about our life details. I deeply believe that the more humbler you hearken advices from your friends the more closer you can arrive toward your dream.
