"How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society." 孩子融入社会的能力决定了社会的命运。遗憾的是，我们还不知道怎样培养孩子使他们对社会有益


The speaker asserts that the social ability of children plays an indispensable and a decisive role in forming a society. However, unfortunately we have not yet known how to raise children to a helpful person in society. I fundamentally agree with the speaker’s claim about the social ability’s importance of children. But when it comes to our failture to cultivate the children, I insist the whole environment of the society takes more responsibility.
On the one hand, the advancement of the society is due to the broad communication which cites the revolution and inspires people. Of course, this social ability of children who will manipulate the world in the future is especially significant. In the growth process of one person, as a infant he learns how to walk through the imitation of others; as a adolescent, he find his niche only by way of the sorts of social encounters that a part and parcel of adolescent; finally as a adult, he benefit from the excellent social ability which gradually formed since childhood. If a child gets attention and praise from people around, he will get along well with each other and after growth his talent can be put to good use and contribute a lot to the development of the society. In a word, how children are socialized is crucial to the destiny of society.  
On the other hand, the speaker considers that we don’t know the way to raise children who can help bring about a better society. Actually, the whole social environment holds more vital position of affecting children but not children’s parents and people who are relevant with them. The social circumstance and atmosphere just like palls cast over the whole world. People act like drivers on the road. When the road is well constructed and orderly with well engineered traffic sign and signals, people move along smoothly even a person with minimal driving skills can arrive safely at their destination. But when the road has utter chaos no matter how excellent the drivers and how experienced the traffic police may be people can’t arrive successfully. The same goes for children’s growth, the prosperous society they live in teaches them diligence, industry, struggling and so forth. On the contrary, the disordered society gives them nothing but sloth and greed. And what children’s guardians can change is very little.
All in all, society’s destiny is decided by children’s social ability. Their behaviors of stepping into as well as communicating with the society mean a lot. However, because of individual’s incapability of changing the whole environment, children are in fact be cultivated by the society.
