Our society is often called information world. It is hard to imagine the life with the absent of the television and computers. Meanwhile, the medium acts as an important role in the tourism. The attractive pictures of the peaceful lake, the videos of the special ritual and culture, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. No one can deny the crucial function that the computers and television made in broadening people's outlook. The claim notes that tourism will soon become obsolete because of the knowledge of the scenes. Unfortunately, I can not agree with the statement.

Initially, the worldwide computer connections and television are contributed to the message communication. Television, as a traditional window, focus on the one-way message transfer. The content of the programs and the show time is totally determined by the TV station. The audiences receive the messages passively. Even with this disadvantage, the TV leads people to a newer world and enlarges their views. The desert in Africa, the tropical forest in South Asia, the iceberg in Arctic, all are presented in detail in the several inches of TV set. The worldwide computer connections decorate our dreams and make the world become a village, because bidirectional communication can easily realize. ICQ, for example, makes possible the people to communicate with each other face to face in groups. The boundary of the countries is faded away in the name of internet. More and more vivid information, including pictures and videos can be searched by the internet engine. Just input the word " Egyptian pyramid”, countless pictures and introduction will show up shortly. In other word, with the invention of the television and internet, people will get much information about the cities that they have never visited without any effort.

Yet the purpose of the traveling is not confined to collect the information from the medium, one of the alluring reasons  is to relax the people's mind and enjoy the period of traveling. Say, the experience of making new friends during the journey, the taste of the exotic style of food, and so on. Imagine a stressful employee who meets his career stagnation  in the late thirties, traveling may be an alternative to pass through the hard time. A report said that a leader in a big company lost himself in his life and career, he chose the traveling as an outlet, packed the necessities hiking toward Tibet. One month later, he returned his office and all the questions were well solved. When the officer asked him how he can get rid of all the stresses, he said that the thinking during the journey given him a deep insight into the meaning of life. In short, the course of the journey is the soul of the traveling.  

In sum, although television and internet provide us with enough information about the tourism and relative material, it is the process of the journal that impulse us to search our lost selves or enjoy the journey. Tourism, therefore, will not become out date just because people become familiar with those information.

In sum, although television and internet provide us with enough information about the tourism and relative material, it is the process of the journal that impulse us to search our lost selves or enjoy the journey. Tourism, therefore, will not become out date just because people become familiar with those information.
