The speaker states that any field of study cannot advance significantly without the knowledge and experience in other fields. As far as I am concerned, the statement is on the right philosophical side of the issue because any field is directly or indirectly related with other fields and some fields can get impetus for lasting developing from other ones. Besides, the cooperation of specialists in different realms has an opportunity to create valuable inventions and even a brand new discipline.

In the first place, no field of study can isolate from all other realms disciplines, which enables any researcher absorb useful elite from the interrelated fields. Consider, for example, the field of finance. Although traditionally finance is the major in business school, a great deal of empirical experience has revealed that to better apply finance knowledge in nowadays market, it is important to master some basic even advanced mathematical knowledge and skill and besides, the capability of modeling via computer is also indispensable. Another telling example involves the archeology. In my observation, a great amount of significant break through in archeology is accompanied by some key historical or geological discoveries, such as ancient tablets or a city floored hundreds of years ago.

Secondly, some fields of study always receive impetus from other fields. The most compelling example is mathematics. A unique character of mathematics is that rather than itself, other realms, such as economy, biology, and physics are the main resource of the developing impetus of mathematics. The creation of John Nash's Game Theory has to do with the economy; the progress of operational discipline is stimulated by contemporary transportation and business administration; and the development of probability is inevitably influenced by sociology and finance. The above examples clearly demonstrate that some fields usually autonomously provide outsiders with precious incentives which are significant for progress and creation.

Finally, the cooperation of people who are proficient in different areas always brings the world some exciting innovations. Take the computer for example. Thanks to the struggle of mathematicians of mechanical engineers, computers appeared and thanks to the militarists, the computer became an important decipher implement rather than a speedy calculating machine, which also initiated the multi-use of computers. Furthermore, another example is the appearance of biochemistry which is created when chemistry meets biology. In sum, the communication of specialists in diverse realms has the opportunity to bring out some miracles to our society and descendants.

In conclusion, I am strongly committed to that any field of study cannot advance significantly without the knowledge and experience from outsiders. Not only because can no field of study isolate from all other realms, but also because some fields of study, such of mathematics, always harvest impetus and inspiration from other areas. What is more, the communication among specialists in diverse realms always leads to some beneficial innovations which contribute to the well-being of society.
