Is it reasonable to attain a goal, so long as is worthy, by any means? While I concede that if a goal is worth people' effort, they should take affirmative measures to attain it, however, I disagree with the speaker's extreme assertion.
Admittedly, for a worthy destination, people should strive to achieve it without considering the pains on the road. In the field of academia, consider, for instance, the historical celebrity-Galileo Galilee. In spite of the press from Catholic Church, Galileo was always (still) persistent to find the truth and survey(revealed) it to public. With respects to the athlete, to be proficient at certain(their) realms and be the winner of Olympic Games, the athlete(s) abandon the educational opportunity and the easy childhood and(to) accept considerable exercise and(challenging the limit and)eventually won the respect and honor of the society. Both of the two above examples reveal that if a dream is worth chasing(感觉有点怪,也许achieving可以), one should take means(可以这样用吗?换成try the best怎么样?) to fulfill it.
Conceding the merit of the claim, I find that the speaker is on the wrong philosophical side of the issue. In the first place, the speaker begs a significant problem--how to judge whether a goal is worthy or not. As far as I am concerned, people usually weigh the benefit and lose(loss) in the means by which we attempt to achieve that goal. Simply put, whether a goal is worthy tightly relates to the means one taken. One telling example has to do with a recent event in China. To escape from the endless family violence, a woman cruelly killed her husband. Actually, the suffering of the woman deserves our sympathy, however she can choose other ways to get out of the nightmare to(and) avoid the tragedy and (but)as a result, she must be punished due to the law. Another phenomenon in numerous countries also serves to demonstrate my viewpoint. To pursue high profit, many companies make low-quality production to decrease the cost, even by some illegal methods, considering apart the morality, law and relative regulations. Although the pursuit of profit is reasonable for any company, the consumers’ benefit should not be the sacrifice.(Pursuiting the profit, at the expence of the consumer's benifit violates the principle of a legal company)
Secondly, in the society level, this assertion is also obviously illogical. As a general rule, improving air-quality certainly is a worthy goal. What if the government forces all the factories out of work and all the residents stop using personal car? In terms of capital allocation of a nation, it is a indisputably wise decision to invest on education. What if the government invests most of the money on the education to ensure every child receive the highest-quality education, considering apart other social problems and some more immediate human suffering? Obviously, both of the two methods is definitely unreasonable. When people attempt to solve one social problem, they should not only consider the problem itself, but also take the influence of the method into considering to avoid bring more problems to our society.(这两个论据好像不是很合适啊) To sum up, when it comes to social affairs, the speaker's hasty generalization is also unreasonable.
In conclusion, although if(不要if) a goal is worthy(,) people should try hard to attain it, I strongly disagree with that any measure taken to achieve it is justifiable. Because whether a goal is worthy is inherently related to the positive and the negative influence it will bring and consequently, we cannot break the law and morality to attain a so-called ”worthy goal” and should also avoid putting threat on our society for any excuse.
我想楼主因为时间太匆忙,所以结尾没有仔细考虑一下逻辑,再看看啊,哈哈.
是新手,改的不好的地方望包涵啊.还有同意楼上的,第二段再想想 |
