As the result, today's research about the means of transport used by people lived hundred of years ago is only to make a better understanding of the living ways of our ancestors instead of getting some guidance relevant to our daily life. For the great developing in the realm of science, people today use much more efficiency tools and live in a much efficiency way that study of some old things appears to be less helpful.

     In the second place, besides great differences between the human societies in different periods, there is also a big change taking place in our earth's environment, which also makes the methods in the past unsuitable. As a case in point, to sustain their lives, our ancestors cut trees to build houses and hunted wild animals as their food. But if we do the same things in order to lighten the crisis of energy today, then it will bring in a terrible result. Without the rainforests, the greenhouse effect will threat the survival of human beings seriously, and if we keep hunting wild animals, then the delicate balance upon which all animals include human depend will be broken. Stick out a mile, under today's new situation, some old methods is out of worth.

     But, beside significant differences of objective circumstance, people living in different periods also have some similarities in essence, and they may face the similar problems forefathers suffered from. It means some experience of forefathers, no matter they succeed or failed, can be taken as precedence or precaution to help us make better decisions and avoid turning into a wrong way. Moreover, some great disasters which happened in the history will provide us so important caveats that we will try our best to prevent such disasters from reappearing by studying history and finding out the reasons that caused them. In one word, bases on the similarities of human in essence, we can benefit from looking back the experience of people lived in the past.
