Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People will spend less time in cooking or preparing food in twenty years than nowadays.
Body ( about 500 words ; using up to 1 hour)::)
Twenty years later, what the cooking will be like? Boldly imaging, people put fresh food into a heating machine and wave a finger pressing one button, then a delicious meals came out in few minutes; or even simpler, give a direction to a cooking robot, a plenteous meal will be prepared immediately. I am not a dreamer, according to such rapid pace of technical development currently, everything is probably true in twenty years. So this development of cooking technology already decided the trends that people are able to spend less and less time in preparing food.
To prove it, let's look back the last twenty years. Twenty years age, to prepare a single meal, people had to do a lot of works: firstly buy vegetables and meets, raw and dirty, from food stand, then wash and slice them, finally fry them one by one. Besides, it is hardly inevitable to wash the dishes after meal. But now, things are entirely different. You can buy clean vegetables and neat meat from supermarket, some of them even have relevant ingredients. Were you put the food in the microwave or oven, only with a few minutes, you can enjoy a nice meal. And I can say without a doubt that in twenty later, more ready-made foods are offered in the market; more advanced machines are available to help cooking. These objective improvements make people in the future are much easier to cook than nowadays; at the same time, saving more time from cooking.
But something can be changed; something can not. From some sense, cuisine is a kind of culture, a traditional convention that can never be changed. Food-culture, which has been come down and spread for thousand and thousand years, still maintain its original mode, and definitely can not be replaced in the nearly future. Before Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese always use up to half a mouth for preparing food by themselves: such as ZongZi or other flouring ones; before the Thanksgiving Day, almostly every american family will spend one or two days preparing dishes personally, including turkey and so on. People are not willing to save time from these kinds of cooking works.
From another aspect, the process of cuisine itself brings individual a special kind of joy. As for me, I enjoy learning cooking skills from my family after a long day working; I enjoy creating my own special recipes when I am boring; I enjoy sharing my tasty food with all of my dear friends at the night party. Nothing can allow me feeling better than a praise from my friends and family, and from myself. Cooking is a best way to reduce our work pressure, to hobnob with family and friends, and to taste the truly wonderful life!
In a word, although we can not change the current of cooking development that allow people saving more time from preparing food to do other things in the future, something undoubtedly can not be changed, the food culture is immutable, and the joy of cooking is eternal, no matter how long it is lasting: two years, twenty years, two hundred years, or even two thousand years!
