Our life has gone through great changes since the video cameras came to being around our daily life. It’s accurate and objective record proved to be an efficient and lasting way to document. While the written records are irreplaceable, it will play an important role in many areas. Taking good uses of both the video cameras and written records to document are to make our life more real and vivid.

The video documentation, as the result of advanced digital technology,   introduces many new innovations in the possible for the descendants to understand their growing progress, including their parents and grandparents who they even have not met before. They can see clearly what happened of the past year with image along with sound. When they retrospect, real life will be provided rather than single written words, which make up individual stories. In today’s judicial judgment, people and the judger begin to resort to video proves when realize the merits that it can provide accurate and convincing evidences. When the clear criminal recorded on the video was showed, the judgment can be easily clinched.  What’s more, the video cameras take up much less materials and space, unlike the traditional written documentation, it can deposit information times of the latter one. In addition, the small volume permits people to take it whenever they go outside, it is convenient.

However, the advantages of traditional documentation are not to be neglected. The written words not only record the histories as the video, but it provides the individual perception and opinion on past event, which is more vital. Years later, when we narrate the experiences to our descendants of the past, it’s proper to refer to the written records which recorded the course of striving: what we are fighting for in every period, and how we solve the difficult problem we met in hot water, the lessons we got from failure. All of the written ones will be sure help the descendents more intuitionistic and rational.  

At last, in this age of great changes taking place every day, both advanced digital form record like video cameras and traditional ways are indispensable. While the former one can be applied in real events such as, sports game, concert, and so on. The latter one will plays its irreplaceable function on record the emotional progress.

In sum, the video documents have provided people with an innovative approach of recording and also give the descendants the opportunity to retrospect to the past events in a more vivid way. But without the written records, it is impossible for people to gain the general spectrum about history. So these two media should compensate with each other, only in this way can we preserve the contemporary society and people’s lives in a complete way for our next generation.

其实我觉得，与其说同等重要，不如说不能比较
因为老外很死板，同等重要的话，就一定是质和量的相等，一点也不能有偏差
而中国人的思维是，相互补充，不能互相代替，但这样的答案是不能满足题目要求的，因为题目就是要求要比较，所以不如说不能比较，也就是说，题目从一开始的比较开始就是没有道理的
打个比方说，一个实数与一个复数，1与1+i，根本不存在谁大谁小的问题，更不可能一样大，因为是属于不同范畴的东西，在我来看，数码相机和纸笔记录就是这样的关系
