I agree fundamentally with the speaker that the later generalization can often render a judgment objectively rather than the contemporaries, while at the same time consider it not correct to understate the judgment of all people at the time. The time would sometimes provide us with some other people who are able to see through the mist of history and catch sight of the lighthouse ahead.

As is the nature of discoveries and inventions, those who are caught with a original idea are those who create things or add new relations onto those old existence before their contemporaries. Every so often, they are not understood and even hardly accepted by their contemporaries, and thus the contemporaries cannot possibly render the inventors object judgment, for the simple reason that the comprehension of others has not yet reached that high level and they saw nothing worthwhile to appraise for in the works of the innovators. When Riemann first founded a completely novice system of geometry, he is regarded as establishing something of little use, which serves as a direct instance. The experience of Picasso also serves as a convincing example to illustrate the difficulty in making one's own great work understood and well-accepted, however significantly their work may turn out to be. Yet, we cannot not definitely grant them the ability to make judgment objectively, for the criterion we are taking now may be incomplete or even mistaken in some respects, if viewed and considered from a time in the future.

On the whole, restraint by the limited intelligent level or certain ideology, people are less likely to give a objective evaluation towards the greatness of a individual. But those who can jump out of the restrictions, who are willing to weigh the deep nature of the person's thoughts, can receive a thorough understanding of the individual.
