Arts have developed for a long period, and many people love arts. The arts contains various kinds, such as painting, music, literature, etc. And in defferent periods, types of the arts always different, which is a signal to that period. In my points of view, the arts reveal the otherwise hidden ideas and impulses of a society.

As seen from music, there are great difference between the past and now, which is the result that people's mind have been changed a lot. In my country, music conveys quiet and nature's beauty was popular in the past. And old people are most living in countries and love mountains, rivers and plants. So they always use songs to convey their love toward the place they live and wish their life more quiet and happier. However, few people nowadays, like to hear the music that is out of date. They like more light-hearted or yaogun music. They like to song to exhaust all their energy and dance with the whole of their heart, because most of people today live in big cities and there are always noisy and busy. With the rapid development of the society, people are living in a busy time. The steps of them is quicker than the past. As a result, music has also turned to be quick tune. From that, we can see music can reflect the hidden change in people's ideas and follows that change.

Additionally, literature is always a obvious simpleton to the life of people and conveys their hidden ideas. As a saying speaks, " Literature is from life". Sure although there will be some aggrandizement or fantancy in the literature, it always can stand for a period of a society, since it describes the behaviors of people and express the hidden ideas that people hold in the deep heart of them. For example, recently a famous female writer in China, has wrote a novel named Green Tea, which describes two aspects of a female who have got master degree. One aspect of her is a decent and quiet student, while on the other aspect of her is a outside and enthusiastic pianist playing at night at a entertainment place. Nearly total different charaters of the woman reveals a confused mind of herself. Like her, many people are confused by themselves because inoder to live in this competitive society they often need to choose a career which they may not interested in. Many literatures like that one, are beginning pay emphasis on describe the hidden ideas of people nowadays.

From the past till today, people never stop to paint as it describes realistics, conveys peoples hidden minds and fantances our future. Paintings in  different varies a lot. At the old age, people like to paint pictures describing events or famous individuals. It seems that people in the past pay more attention to great matters rather than themselves. However, it plays more emphasis today to value common people and express their interests and abilities, as a result of which the contents of paintings are trending to describe details in the personal life. These paintings have impulse the society for that more and more people have realized the importance of themselves and turned to be confident of themselves. So painting often help people change their minds and impulse a society.

To sum up, the arts like painting, music, literature, etc always plays a important part in revealing hidden idea. What's more some arts, just as painting often impulses a society. As the ideas of people's minds change, the content and the form of the arts follows and even some new ideas will first appear in the arts and impulses the world.
