Generally speaking, children are the hope of future of a society, so how they are socialized determines the destiny of the society. As the development of science, technology and other respects of society, we have achieved progress in fostering children to meet the need of the society. Nevertheless, there still exits some imperfectness in raising children which needs to be rectified.

First of all, we must admit that we have gained much progress in raising children and attributes this achievement to education. It can not be denied that the quality of the whole society has been improved compared to the past. In order to adapt current new environment, more and more parents realize the importance of education. And they try their best to build a wonderful condition to ensure their children can receive the best education. Under this condition, the children can easily grow well. You should not feel strange that a only ten-year old boy can draw a marvelous picture.

However, there are still some flaws in current education. There is a false understanding that higher score, better the student is. So the score is the only criterion to judge a student in some people's eyes and all other things should give way to it. The result is that more free time are compelled to study which should be used to play games with companions, do sports, read interesting books and other things that they like. This false concept that over emphasizes the importance of score cause many other important aspects of children are neglected. The result of this education model is some good qualities are lost. So it is not strange that Liu Haiyang, a undergraduate student of Tsinghua university injured a bear cruelly using sulfate and one of the best university foster a student with the essential love and mercifulness lost.

In sum, we have made progress in raising children with the development f the society. But it is obvious that there are still some imperfectness in current education. As more attention are put on these problems, we are sure that these problems will be settled soon, more effective and perfect education methods will be obtained and we can set a better growing circumstance for our children.

153 “Students should bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study. Thy should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.”
Syllabus:
1. A certain skepticism can make the students to understand what they learn more thoroughly and correct their mistakes.
2. A certain skepticism guarantees students' interest foe knowledge and conduct them to study further.
3. However, blind skepticism to what they learn can not bring any positive effect to students, but waste of time and energy. So only the skepticism with careful thoughts can do good to students.

26 “Most people would agree that buildings represent a valuable record of any society’ past, but contemporary arises when old buildings stand on ground that modern planners feel better used for modern purposes. In such situations, modern development should be given precedence over the preservation of historical buildings so that contemporary needs can be served.”
Syllabus:
1. Historic buildings are sometimes a symbol of a city or a country, what is more many old buildings have much value for researching the history, so we can not always make the contemporary needs to be met with the sacrifice of historical buildings.
2. Admittedly, there are some old buildings that lost much value and easily fell down. There is no need to preserve them with large expense.
