Both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools. Education is too important to leave solely to a group of professional educators.

Some parents would think that since they send their children into the schools and pay for the school fee, it is the professional educators in schools who have to take responsibility of the education of their children. But in my point of view, those views are somewhat wrong and overlook several significant factors that would have effect on the growth of the children.

Undeniably, the teachers in school play a vital role in the education of the children. They have professional knowledge on their own fields and could give the children a systematic guide in study. Most of them have taken part in the training of educating methods. Furthermore they would have a great deal of experience because of their long time contact with so many students. They know what the general problems in the study of mathematic are or what may cause those spelling mistakes of words in study of language. Thus, they could effectively find out the difficulties or point out the errors of the students and help them to conquer those problems. Besides, the school could provide all kinds of devices such as computers, chemical instruments, to meet the satisfaction in the study. A good circumstance and enough guides would be useful to the education of children.

However, the education is so import that we could not leave it solely to the teachers in the schools. The goal of the education is to prepare qualified and talented people for our society. Not only their knowledge and technologies but also the other skills such as communication, corporation, would be necessary for the progress of our society. So, both parents and communities must be involved in the local schools and have the duty of the education of the children.

On the one hand, parents would have great influence on their children so that they could not overlook their important part in the education. Since children come to the world, the first teachers of them are their parents. When they are very young, most of them would unconsciously imitate the behavior of the fathers or mothers. Before entering the schools, they have built up a lot of habits or values which are inherited from their parents. Even after they receive the guidance of their teachers in the school, they still spend a lot of time staying with their parents. From the view of sociology, they could not avoid accepting more or less the ideas or views from their parents. So, if some parents ignore the effect on their children and often behavior badly, they would bring some negative impact on the education of their children.

On the other hand, the communities now must also be involved in the education to help the children know about the society. Except the knowledge got in the schools, the children have to learn some skills to survive in the society. Since they would be in face of the complex world early or late, the communities should pay attention to the growth of their children. Providing them some chances to take a rough glance of the world would be of great benefit to the children and help them adapt the fast changing world in the future. And some corporative activities hold by the communities would also help the children to learn how to communicate with other people including those elder ones. To give the children a practical chance in the society would be useful for them to convert their role in the future.

In sum, education is the most important thing in any society and to some extent would decide the destiny of a society. Not only the professional educators but also the parents, communities, even the whole society must pay attention to the growth of the children.
