It is too absolute to say that one can never get successful for ever in life without making other people know his or her ability. But in most of the time I have to admit that showing your strengths and accomplishments is one of the best ways that lead to success.
One of the most famous examples is Van Gogh, a top impressionism painter in Europe. He should have been successful when he was alive for he was almost the most talented artist in his realm at that time. Unfortunately, his works have not been well-known by people until his death. When people began to realize the value of Van Gogh’s paints, the artist could not enjoy this honor and happiness already. For nobody noticed this young talent when he was alive, Van Gogh, as a great impressionist, never got successful in his whole life.
Obviously, talent is not enough for you to get successful. Take another celebrity, Michael Jordan, for example. We can be sure that Jordan is always talented from his youth before he became a professional basketball player. Imagine that if he never showed his sports talent to other people, no one team coach would want this player, no one team boss would give him a contract, and the whole 20th century would miss this super star.
Competition is everywhere in life. So among our ordinary people, it is also crucial to make other people, especially influential people or our employers know about our strengths. When you apply for an admission to your dream school, when you hunting a good job in a big company, when you try to persuade your boss to give you a challenging work, even when you chase a nice girl in a party, letting those influential people know about your advantages is so much important. You have to convince them that you are qualified to be a good student, a good employee, or a good boyfriend, and then you may get your chance.Getting successful in life is kind of a process of selling products in marketing. A successful advertising strategy does increase the selling of a good product. Consumers have lots of choices. So telling them the reasons why they should choose your product is essential.
Almost everyone wants to be successful. If you are qualified to achieve your goal, you must show your strengths and desire. Only in this way, your can get your chance and help which are essential in the way you get successful.

As two of the most talented inventions in 20th century, telephone and television have brought all human huge influences. When we compare both of them on who affects people more, it is hard to give an accordant answer. But I insist that telephone has a greater significance than television does.
First of all, comparing with television, telephone realized a two-way communication. As we all know, we can not talk to a TV set. All a television can do is sending messages to you. No communication and no information exchange. Yet, if you use a telephone, you could not only receive important messages from others, but also sending your messages or even discussing an issue on line. This mutual connecting form makes telephone an invention that brought greater effect to our society.
To the second place, telephone can be more private to common people while television is a mass media. All the programs on TV we can watch are produced or designed by the professionals working in television stations. No matter the programs are useful or not to the public, the televisions are broadcasting all the time. Who they really care about is not you or any other ordinary individual, but the whole society and the celebrities. In daily life, actually, we need more to know from or pour out to intimate friends or families than watch others' stories on TV. When you want to share some secret immediately with your friend who lives in another city far from yours, would you pick up your phone and dialed his or her number, or rush to the television station, tell it on a live show, and hoping your friend is accidently watching TV?
Lastly, there are other irreplaceable uses of telephone that dwarf television. When some emergency occurs, calling the police or someone else would help you get out of trouble. Without television, people can also listen to the radio, or reading newspaper and magazines instead to acquire the news and entertainment. But without telephone, or we can say, without the ability to connect other people, we could lose a sense of security to a certain degree. Summarily, telephone which creates a time of instant communication, makes a bigger difference to people than television dose, which is only an upgrade invention of radio.

Remember, it's probably better to list other reasons rather than contradict the statement directly. The first reason given is good while the last two are less related to the topic. We hope to see the more critical reasons causing the facts in order to believe advertising is not the most important one.
