The greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them, not by their contemporaries.

I agree with the author to some extent that much greatness if individuals were decided by people who live after them because until then did people find the value of these greatness, although sometimes the greatness can be found in a short time.

Admittedly, sometimes people can find the greatness as soon as the great individuals create them. When these great persons publish their success, people are eager to know weather it is useful or useless, because if it is useful it value can be used, society can make progress and people can gain benefits from these success. For example, when an artist create a new work, people may carefully research it, and if it is a success people can feel the value of the art; when a physic scientist publish a new theory, many scientist may examine it, and if it is true, significant progress may be made to improve our lives and people may see this world with new eyes. Thus, through people's examine, much greatness may be found in a short time.  

However, sometimes people do not know the greatness at that time. Generally there are two reasons. First, there is some power opposite this success even knowing it has great value. For example, when Copernicus created the geocentric theory, even his evidence was sufficient, the religion did not want to overturn its heliocentric theory in order to make people continue to trust them. Second, other people in that time can not prove it true, even find it incorrect. For example, when Einstein developed his theory of relativity, hardly any scientist at that time can understand it and they prefer to think that this theory is not true. Thus, sometimes the greatness does can not be decided by people live in that time.

Furthermore, real gold fears not fire, usually after a long period people will find what published long ago very useful, and then the greatness can be accepted. As our knowledge increases, people’s true wish to go after the truth appears more and more and people’s ability to decide weather the so-called greatness is real or not also develops. For example, although under the pressure of the religion, the geocentric theory finally be accepted; although the theory of relativity can not be accepted at that time, but as the condition of experiment develops, we can prove that this theory have great value. Thus, when people can decide the value of the achievement, they can decided weather it a greatness or not.

To sum up, although some greatness is accepted as soon as it is born because people in that time entirely have the ability to decide weather it is useful, but due to some reasons some greatness can not be accepted until a long time.

To sum up, although some greatness is accepted as soon as it is born because people in that time entirely have the ability to decide weather it is useful, but due to some reasons some greatness can not be accepted until a long time.
感觉对于整体结构掌握的不错，但是在论证过程上应该下功夫，不太让人信服，有的时候不能自圆其说,注意下句子和词汇的变化（这方面我也不行，一起努力），

第二段写完后是觉得少论证成就的发现了，不过作为限时的真是水平我就没有改。
