Teacher as the engineer of our soul is the orthodoxy recognized in history ,however, such definition comes up to some critical sound among those people who put the teacher's role in a quite different opinion ,argue that build a good relationship between students and teachers has more value than conduct
knowledge. From the view of my perspective, i am absolutely contrary to this statement and the conspicuous reasons and instances go as follows .

To begin with , the responsibility of a student is to absorb knowledge as much as possible. while in the school the teacher is the direct guide ,depending on teacher's help students can grasp and master skills with ease and also better understand the field in depth that is specially essential during the learning process .thus to this point ,the teacher's professional ability sees more obvious important. because the teacher's understanding on certain subjects level is mostly related to the students' realization .A case in point is that my high school mathematics teacher, a man who has no experience on the college entrance examination ,often lead us to some puzzles that really troublesome and even ridiculous. For the teacher is the person we have expectations in our  study so their professional capacity is our excellent grade's guarantee .


Additionally , in order to perform well concerning teacher's duties to guide the students in a healthy and accurate way toward future life ,professional ability of the teacher is more urgent .as we all know teachers in school most of time are together with us , the roles they undertake is not only to inform knowledge to us but to some extent as a model in our ordinary life . there is no denying that teacher's behavior is often followed by students. for a great model anyone need to fulfil his promise and duty no matter what .since as a model of students, teacher is supposed to wide their horizon on their fields to become knowledgable enough as to bring the necessary information and idea to students. only in this way students can accurately view the actions and reactions around ,in turn ,regulate their own behavior like a model. to sum up, taking the peripheral influence of the teacher into account, we can also clear that the professional merits should be paid more attention .


For sure , a harmonious  relationship among the students also has some evident values and one aspect is that both the students and teachers can own a good mood that will benefit the learning process on a large scale ,but it can not compare with the professional ability on how to solve the problems faced by students.


In conclusion , after discussed above we can safely come to the point that compelling the potential virtue of the relationship between students and teacher. a knowledgable teacher is more welcome.
