Ever since primary school, we recieve homework assignment everyday. Daily homework even becomes the hallmark of school life. But what was the purpose of homework? Is it nothing more but the burden the evil teachers try to lay on us? Some may think so, especially pupils. But personally, I dont agree with the statement. Homework, as I see, is a synthetic training which help students better prepare for the future. My points are listed as follows.
The basic purpose of homework assignments is to help students review what they learned at school, thus enhace the knowledge they get in class. Class time is quite limited and the teacher can only include the most important points and detailed applications in class. Thus the knowledge imparted in class is quite intensive and students may not be able to fully understand it. With homeworik assignments, students can slowly review what they learned in class and find out what they miss in class. This process will help students better master the knowledge they gained in school.

Daily homework is also a process in which children will develop good habits. For example, since the homework is daily, students must finish it before they go to bed. So students will develop a habit in long term. Just as the old saying goes, finish what should be done today today.And in long term, this will also help students develop a regular lifestyle. Through careful planning of homework time and play time, atudents will also improve at time management.

What's more, daily homework can also help studentd learn to manage huge tasks. Teachers break the intense knowledge into daily homework.This allow students to gain knowledge effectively. Through daily working, students will gain the knowledge day by day and finally finish the whole study task. Later in life, students will aslo face such tasks. Breaking them into small parts and conquering them one by one is an efficient way. Thus though the practice of doing homework everyday, students will better understand how to break the tasks and conquer them one by one. With this training, students will be better prepared for the future.

Though we can always here the criticism of homework assignments, most of them rise because the quantity the teacher assigns may be too much.In a word,homework assignments help students better master the knowledge and prepare them better for the future. So I believe daily homework assignment is necessay.
