    What is the definition of success? The answer varies in different people . So there are many important characteristic that a person need to gain success. In my opinion , to share a good body , be happy everyday and always immerge yourself in the feeling of happiness , are defined to success. So the most important characteristic for success is a sense of humor. You will feel you are so close to be success in life with humor.

    To begin with, the life is full of unknowns and you never know what you will gain and what you will lose. If we keep a sense of humor and always smile to life , we will face and handle the life more successfully. For example, my father owned a big restaurant once upon a time which made him very pride. However five years ago, my father lost the opportunity to manage the restaurant and had to leave the career he loves deeply. We all know that he falls into deep sorrow and buried himself in far reaching disappointment. But the life has to keep on, isn’t it? We ‘d rather face the difficulty with self ironic than with discouragement. Then we can pick up the faith to start all over again.

    What is more, when confronted with some embarrassing moment, we’d better apply the policy of being humorous. We will feel better and gain back our face and confidence to continue what we should do. For instance, Deng Xiaoping is a famous leader who share a strong sense of humor and is successful in politics . When he was visiting American in the 1970s, people in America thought that he was a pretty short man. So they gave him a chair to let the leader stand higher, which is a signal of discrimination. However Mr. Deng stood onto the chair and said that we Chinese people stand on from now on! He acquires the ability of humor and solved people’s unfriendly assault. There are plenty of other emergiencies that were cracked by Mr. Deng’s unique wisdom. It proves that humor is a great weapon in politics and in other aspects.

    And many truth tells us that if we people like to hang out with those humorous people and love to make friends. They always have a lot of friends cause they make us happy and feel relaxed. So people like to share their happiness and want to open their heart to them. They will feel at ease when being with the humorous people. So such kind of characteristic will creat a harmony relationship and enhance a steady friendship.

    All in all, there are many important characteristics matter to success. When we truly understand the definition of success, we get the conclusion that a sense of humor is essential . Only with the power of humor can we get the true meaning of happy success. So enjoy humor, enjoy success.
