157"There is no such thing as purely objective observation. All observation is subjective; it is always guided by the observer's expectations or desires"

The speaker's assertion that no such thing as purely objective observation exists is shocking, because if things turn out this way, then all the truths and principles which our cognition of the world has based on are incredible, at least doutful, and the world will be trapped in disorder. Fortunately, after contemplation on this issue, the author's view is too onesided and radical to be true.

Firstly, observation is an indispensible method in scientific research, through observation one can propose questions and verify one's speculation. In human history, many observations have lent empirical evidence to humans' acknowledgement of the world and themselves. For example, after the astronaut travels to the space and brings back the photographs of the earth, we are reassured that the earth is an ellipsoid rather than a square. There is no denying that observations like this is objective and beneficial to human development.

The author holds the view that we see what we expect and what we want; although researchers and observers do let prior expectations and desires interfere their design of observation it doesn't mean their observations are necessarily subjective. Conversely, qualified scientists should let their expectations guide them to design observations to prove whether their supposition is true or not, but most importantly not overlook or ignore any factor in the observation. For example, in the study of the arithmetic ability of dogs specially trained for a period of time, the dogs choosing the right answer may be caused by the trainer's expression rather than their intellectual improvement during the training. This observation is aimed at verifying whether dogs' arithmetic ability can be improved by special training, but the observer has neglected or ignored important factors to reach the expected result. From this case ,we can see that the observer's attitude rather than the observation itself should be reliable for such scientific scandals.

I do not insist that all observation are objective, admittedly, observation on some occasions is more likely to be subjective. For example, in the field of art, although faced with the same painting people's judgement can have a large difference, because the speculators have different criteria on the the colors, lines and other aspects of painting. From some people's observation, they are gorgeous, while from others they are exaggerated. Beauty is a subjective feeling so the observation of it is subjective too, and that's exactly why art is so attractive.

In sum, objective observations do exist and they lend empirical evidence to the truths and disciplines which the world conforms to. Observer's expectations and desires do not necessarily damage the objectivity of their observation, on condition that the observer take an objective attitude, probe into every detail and conform to the original record from their observation.

The speaker's assertion that no such thing as purely objective observation exists is shocking, because if things turn out this way,(这个我查了一下,可以翻译成“事情这样发展的话”电影里面会看到这样的说法) then all the truths and principles which our cognition of the world is based on are incredible, at least doubtful, and the world will be trapped in disorder. Fortunately, after contemplation on this issue, the author's view is too one-sided and radical to be true.

Firstly, observation is an indispensible method in scientific research, because
through observation one can propose questions and verify one's speculation. In human history, many observations have lent empirical evidence to humans' acknowledgement of the world and themselves. For example, after the astronaut travelled to the space and brought back the photographs of the earth,  we are reassured that the earth is an ellipsoid rather than a square. There is no denying that observations like this are objective and beneficial to human development.

The author holds the view that we see what we expect and what we want; although researchers and observers do let prior expectations and desires interfere their design of observation, it doesn't mean their observations are necessarily subjective. Conversely, qualified scientists should let their expectations guide them to design observations to prove whether their supposition is true or not, and
most importantly not overlook or ignore any factor in the observation to jump to the expected conclusion. So we should keep an keen eye and clarify the concept of observation  and illation.  On most occasions, it is the subjective illation that leads to a false conclusion rather than the observation itself. For example, in the study of the arithmetic ability of dogs, the dogs specially trained for a period of time are observed choosing the right answer. This observation is aimed at verifying whether dogs' arithmetic ability can be improved by special training, but the observer has neglected or ignored important factors except the training experience to reach the expected result that dogs' arithmetic intellegence is improved through special training. From this case, we can see that it is the observer's subjective attitude in the illation  rather than the observation itself that should be reliable for such scientific scandals.

I do not insist that all observation are objective, admittedly, observation on some occasions is more likely to be subjective. For example, in the field of art, although faced with the same painting people's judgment can have a large difference, because the speculators have different criteria on the colors, lines and other aspects of painting. Fortunately, after contemplation on this issue, the author's view is too one-sided and radical to be true.(这句是你的全文的TS吗?我觉得应该是给出自己的观点而不是去评价作者的观点怎么样才对)

Firstly, observation is an
indispensible method in scientific research, because through observation one can propose questions and verify one's speculation. In human history, many observations have lent empirical evidence to humans' acknowledgement of the world and themselves. For example, after the astronaut travelled to the space and brought back the photographs of the earth, we are reassured that the earth is an ellipsoid rather than a square. There is no denying(名词吗?没查到这种用法) that observations like this are objective(看不出来你之前的例子中有objective的影子,而且那个例子,好像人类很早就认为地球是圆的了..) and beneficial to human development.(这个beneficial to development跟你的观点应该没有什么关系吧..)

The author holds the view that
we see what we expect and what we want(是这样的吗?作者没有这么讲阿..只是说因为人的想法是主观的所以观察也是主观的,而这个应该是你从作者的观点中的一个体会才对); although researchers and observers do let prior expectations and desires interfere their design of observation, it doesn't mean their observations are necessarily subjective. Conversely, qualified scientists should let their expectations guide them to design observations to prove whether their supposition is true or not(这个true的判断标准又是什么呢?为什么资深的scientist就能让“期望”来指导他们?), and most importantly not overlook or ignore any factor in the observation to jump to the expected conclusion. So we should keep an keen eye and clarify the concept of observation  and illation.(这个是你这段的主题句吗?那第一句咧??)  On most occasions, it is the subjective illation that leads to a false conclusion rather than the observation itself. For example, in the study of the arithmetic ability of dogs, the dogs specially trained for a period of time are observed choosing the right answer. This observation is aimed at verifying whether dogs' arithmetic ability can be improved by special training, but the observer has neglected or ignored important factors(哪些factors咧?最好说说) except the training experience to reach the expected result that dogs' arithmetic intellegence is improved through special training. From this case, we can see that it is the observer's subjective attitude in the illation  rather than the observation itself that should be reliable for such scientific scandals.

I do not insist that all observation are objective, admittedly, observation on some occasions is more likely to be subjective. In sum, objective observations do exist and they lend empirical evidence to the truths and disciplines which the world conforms to. Observer's expectations and desires do not necessarily damage the objectivity of their observation, on condition that the observer take an objective attitude,
probe into every detail and conform to the original record from their observation.
