50 In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach.

Teachers or say, professors of college or university are to impact knowledge which could help student in their career or life after their graduation, thus an experience of working outside is requisite for teachers to advance the quality of education of the college or university.

Admittedly, too much time spent on working outside, the quality of the instruction would be damaged. After all, it's the obligation of the teachers to instill the student of certain knowledge (most of that should still come from books) instead of attaining experience out of the classroom. Consider the extreme cases that all the time of the professors is spent out of the classroom, who would response to those lectures needed by students? Opportunities should be guaranteed that students are able to communicate with their tutors, so the time faculty of the college needs to be limited for the basis regulation of instruction.

On the other hand, knowledge from the books is likely to be out of date no matter how frequently the innovations concerning the textbooks, thus it calls for keeping with the outside world of the faculty that those newly promoted conceptions are access to students. The reason why the newest knowledge is important is that no one would keep the identity of mere student all his or her life, most of the people choose to work outside the academic world. Then, new conceptions and knowledge are requisite for them to adapt to the society in the future. Now that academic world is insolated from the society to some extent, then necessarily by working in professional fields relevant to the courses they teach could the tutors be familiar to the trend of the certain fields.

In addition, an experience outside the academic world is also methods by which teachers could learn what kind of skills the society really calls for and what knowledge is really useful and essential for the students. Students are not working hard to become good students ultimately, but qualified them to achieve success in their future success. Through being engaged in jobs outside the classroom, faculty of college could attain information about the requisition and expectation for the employees or leaders in certain fields up to date which are hardly attained by assumption formed in a limited space of the campus.

In conclusion, spending time outside the academic world in professions revelant to the courses the faculty teach help an improvement of the education of university to some extent as long as enough emphasis has been placed on regular activities of instuction
