Recently, tourist industry becomes so flourishing that it forms an indispensable financial resource in some countries. Thus no wonder traveling method has raised a hot discussion. Should we travel in a group led by guide or just have a trip on our own. Personally, the former is more attractive for me.

Firstly, compared with the cost of traveling, fee of employing a guide could be ignored. What’s more, guides have their channels of information and large social connection in local. Thus under their aids, you can always buy the half price or even cheaper tickets and enjoy more economic accommodation. According to the China National Tourism Administration, the average cost of per person spent in group journey to GuiLin is 2800 Yuan, but if you travel by yourself, it is about 3400 Yuan. It’s obvious that traveling in a group lead by guard cost less.

Secondly, traveling in a group is much safer since being along in a strange city is very dangerous. We don’t familiar with the local conditions and culture. Don’t mention that we even can’t understand local language which leads us hardly to turn to others for help. A guide can solve all the above problems. Being with （s）he, we won’t keep worried about being cheated and getting lost. Only led by guide can we devote ourselves in to the wonderful journey.

Last but not least, traveling in this way is not only interesting, but also meaningful. As we watch these historical or modern structures and enjoy the beautiful local scenery, we can learn their stories at the some time. When we leave it, we have sense of its culture and history. That’s what a meaning traveling should bring to us.

Admittedly, some travel agencies and guides will lead their customers into local stores. The more travelers buy, the more reward store will give them. However, these performances can be avoided if government applies suitable policies. So I claim that it is safe to say that traveling in a group led by a guide is a better choice because of less cost, sense of security and learning more knowledge.
