In the recent years, there is a general controversy over the issue that weather {whether} an intelligent friend is better than a humorous
one. Although some people claim that making friends with humorous persons can
bring a lot of happiness to their lives, personally, I prefer to those clever friends
and I will provide concrete evidences to demonstrate my point of view.
First and foremost, there is no denying that
intelligent friends are very helpful. As is known to all, intelligence is so
important that it will take large amounts of convenience to our daily lives {benefits our lives in many ways}. Admittedly,
it is impossible {unlikely} that everybody is very bright. However, stay with {keeping in touch with}
those intelligent
friends will absolutely benefit you {do you good} in many aspects. For instance, suppose you
have a deep {are in sharp} conflict with your boss about {over} the final decision of a project, {.} if {if you} ask {turn to} a stupid friend {someone with mediocre intelligence} for help, perhaps, he will {probably} tell you to simply comply to the
leader {ask you to follow your boss’s idea}, {.} however {However}, a clever friend may give {offer} some specific advice, in which you
can not only express your own idea, but also avoid incentive the boss {with the help of which you will have your idea understood without offending your boss}. This is
definitely the optimal method to deal with this dilemma. What is more, a wisdom {wise} friend can also offer you help {do you favors} in choosing a career, keeping a harmonious
relationship with {dealing with your} colleagues as well as enhance {enhancing} your reputation round the
nearby neighborhood. Accordingly, it is obvious that friends with high
intellect {intelligence} are conducive to us vastly {really helpful}.
In the second place, through learning from intelligent
friends, people are more likely to improve themselves in {to} a large degree. Since,
{As} those intelligent people are usually very successful in their own working
field {careers}, as their friend, you are prone to receive some positive influence {get some inspiration}. Here
is my own experience, {.} despite {Although} I am a student majored in clinical medicine, I
had {have} made a variety of friends with other majors {students majored in other subjects}, {.} additionally {Additionally }, all of them are
very intelligent. Therefore, every time when {whenever} I talk with them together, I cannot only {not only can I} broaden my knowledge scope {更虚一点的可以用horizon}, know some {catch up with}
latest development in several particular
areas, but also strengthen my own logical as well as {and} critical thinking ability.
Besides, it could also motivate me to study my own major more efficiently
because of the interrelationship among disciplines. Ultimately, I could really
get a big progress in self development.
{chinglish}
Last but not least, friends with high intellect {intelligence} are
often quite {more} humorous than ordinary people. It is universally acknowledged that
humor is the product of intelligence, so clever individuals are excellent at
joking, meanwhile bring pleasure to people. {牵强}
To sum up, taking into account of the discussion
mentioned above, we may safely reach the conclusion that it is wise and
reasonable to make friends with intelligent persons. |
