刚来版上，本周作文结束了。交一篇10.2，不好意思 serious or entertaining movie

I am a big fan of movies. Knowing this fact, my friends keep asking me whether I prefer an entertaining movie or a serious movie. My answer is "it depends." It depends on what mood I am in.

in certain occasions when I feel blue, an entertaining movie will definitely cheer me up. embodied with enjoyable plots and funny lines, an entertaining movie easily spread laughter to whoever watches it. after a delightful journey with movie makers, I always feel relaxed. I can easily put myself back and continue with my hard work. Instead, Watching a serious movie when tired is the last thing i would do. it takes some effort to figure out what a serious movie is trying to convey. almost all of the serious movies require deep reflection and invite a considered response, which I am not willing to do when my brain needs a break. what's more,some serious movies are cast in a way that confuses viewers. it is very difficult for a gloomy mind to appreciate serious movies with complicated stories and complicated mental activity.

but in other occasions, when i am in a good mood, I would choose a serious movie other than an entertaining movie. some serious movies are inspiring and encouraging. they urge me to keep working hard and being modest. some serious movies are reflecting. Being able to reveal the dark side of the society and the true meaning of humanity, serious movies reshape people's perspective. from the movie stories, no matter they are fictional or real, we can better understand this world and ourselves. though i would not mind watching entertaining movies when I am happy and relaxed, I would prefer something else. it is just about balance. on one hand, watching a joyful DVD when relaxed doesn't give as much joy as it does when I feel sad. on the other hand, Entertaining movies' sole purpose is to entertain viewers. it can not give you as much opportunity to learn and contemplate as a serious movie.

in a word, it depends on my mood condition to tell which is better, whether an entertaining movie and a serious movie.
