The speaker questions the point that team work can help organizations to achieve goals in a better way than individual work by rasing contradictory evidences to the reading.

To begin with, the speaker says that team work may be unfair for the team members. On one hand, the free riders may enjoy the same result as the contributors, because others may consider the result as group achievement instead of several peoples’ contribution. On the other hand, the people who have devoted much energe to the project may feel disappointing and question the equality of the process.

The second argument the speaker raised is that group work cannot accelerate the completeness of the project. Instead, owing to many meetings to take, the process may be delayed by the group work, which is contradicted to the point
in the reading that a group can work quickly. Additionally, the speaker mentions that few people may lead the whole team, so the other members may listen to them and loss their creativeness.

The reading also says that the creativeness may be improved if the members work toghter. However, the speaker says that because the responsibility is carried by many people, when the plan of project cannot work, team members don’t care it much.
