While, in he lecture the professor tells us that the painting is proved to be Rembrandt’s work by scientists who have found powerful evidence to answer the specific problems in the reading part.

First of all, the fur collar was not on the original painting. Instead, it was added by others hundreds of years after the painting to increase the value of the painting. So it can explain why the inconsistation happened.

Second, talking about the light and shadow error in the painting, the professor says since the woman is wearing a white linen cap her face is illuninated by the light. Thus there is no such a mistake in his painting.

Finally, we can also know that the wood panel was enlarged by others and it was not made by Rembrandt himself. That’s why we can see the painting was painted on a panel made od several pieces of wood. And another piecee of evidence is that the wood used in the panel was from the same tree as Rambrant’s another painting.
