While the reading casts doubts about Portrait of an Elderly Woman in a White Bonnet is actually painted by Dutch painter, Rembrandt, the lecture oppositely is convinced that it is from Rembrandt.

The lecture completely refutes the passage. It is said inthe lecture that the painting is indeed worked by Rembrandt, which challengingthe passage indicates.
First of all, the lecture states that the fur color is notpart of the original color of the painting. Some research shows that it waspainted over the top of the painting after about 100 years the painting wasmade. This is different from the passage argue that something is inconsistent.
Furthermore, the speaker indicates that the woman’s facewill appear partial in shadow. Once the added color is removed, the light colorof clothes appears and it will reflect light.  However, the passage just think the elements do not fittogether.
Finally, research shows that pieces of wood glue together isto make the painting more valuable and grand. The pieces of wood are from thesame tree.
