As the elementary education is very important for the further development of every student, the author insists that all students of the nation should be required to study the same curriculum before they enter the college or universities. By and all I agree with the author. Nevertheless, for the existence of some factors beyond our control, it is reasonable to give out a basic curriculum all around the nation and local authorities can make some addition to it so as to make it practical in their area.

To consider the first aspect of this issue, it is necessary or even must to give out a basic curriculum to all primary schools all over the nation. Many factors contributed to this choice. In the first place, it is hard to require every local school to make up a system curriculum due to the unfairly distribution of the intellectual and material resource all over the nation. Take china as a example, the east part of it is more far advance compared to the west and the north part, correspondingly, the educational resource is also unbalanced among those areas, as a result it is not a reasonable act to require all distinct make up a scientific curriculum for their local students. Even is the every local authority can offer a system curriculum for their students it is also not an advisable practice to allow them to design curriculum independently. Just have a think, the students are not allowed to choice their majors until they entered into college, as a result it is necessary to study approximately same subject before they take part in the college entrance examination. In other words the students should learn the basic knowledge in the elementary and meddle school so that they can go further study after enter into the college. In this sense the national authority involved in this issue should give out the basic study spectrum for all students of the nation.

Another factor should be considered for this issue is that the local authorities should have the freedom to give some addition to the basic curriculum designed by the national authority. We can not ignore the local diversity and no country can ensure that every student has the chance to go to college. In some areas, most students will not go to college after the meddle school, as a result some classes involved the technology required for finding a job locally should be added. Correspondingly in the areas where most students have the chance to go to college, they local authorities can pay more attention to the intellectual subjects so that make their students better prepared for their further study.

Last but not the least factor for this issue is that some basic knowledge and ethics should be involved in the basic curriculum designed by the national authority. The first aim of the education is to make the students entire people, as a result the basic knowledge and ethics is necessary for every of them.

From the discussion displayed above, we can safely get a conclusion that the national wide curriculum is necessary and advisable, but the local authorities should have the indispensability to modify it according to the local diversity. Only in this way can we get a reasonable curriculum for all students of the nation.
