1.14 Some people say that computers have made life easier and more convenient. Other people say that computers have made life more complex and stressful. What is your opinion? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.


The advent of computer does exert influence upon our lives and mass also hold different attitude towards computer. Some might think that computer has brought lots of convenience to our life and work, while other might think that the stressful and complex life results from the computer. As my stance, I'm inclined to the former opinion, that is computer have made life easier and more convenient.

At the first place, when we feel boring or exhausted in the work, computer supplies us various kinds of entertainment, which help us to relax ourselves and work more effectively. For example, duely playing computer game can temporally transfer our thought from the nervous and tiring work and then return us a refreshed brain for better performance. What's more, we can use computer to enjoy melodious music and movies with exciting plots. Therefore computer indeed plays a important role to offer us a colorful life.

At the second place computer also do well to improve the efficiency of our job. Because of the tirelessness and accuracy, computer can set us free from those unimaginative and repeating work such as recording and calculating. Then we can devote more energy into brainstorm requiring more creativity. Additionally computer would not commit mistake of carelessness and sloppiness of humanbeing for its excellent ability of conducting.

Last but not least with Internet together computer provides us huge information source, which is treasurable to modern people. When connected to the Internet, computer serves as the windows and guide for people to access to various information such as daily news, public attitude towards certain events and solutions to resolve some problems. I, as a example, always check out the recipe in the Internet when I have no idea how to cook and that proves to be a wonderful methods.

In conclusion faced to the oppositely standing opinions towards computer, I will side with the positive one----computer indeed improve the quality of our life.
